I went to do a pedicure today at this place. I was unsure if I will get a brilliant service as I saw just one pedicure station upstairs.The lady that attended to me was nice but the service she provided was very poor.She didn’t clean my feet properly and did not even cut my nails.she just spent 25 minutes and was rushing throughout.The worst pedicure I have had and I was charged £30 for it. I will not advise anyone to get pedicure done at this place.Such a waste of money.

So sorry that you were not satisfied with the service, but to let you know the we did take time to do your pedicure, you did ask the lady to use the zaror to remove the dead skin, which we don't do here as it is not allowed by health and safety we only use the special tools to scrub it off, but sometimes if you have alot of dead skin ,it need more than one session to take it all of
You left happily and paid ,and didn't raise your concerns, so we were not aware of the incident

So friendly, gave me a drink and made sure to check after each step that I was happy with the nails. Very affordable prices and will definitely be back as my nails look great!

I’ve lived in Colchester my whole life.
I’ve tried every nail shop and this place is the best by far- I’ve never come out unhappy with my nails and they last FOREVER I’ve never had a nail break!

Not to mention the competitive prices and gorgeous options for nail art.

Myself and many of my friends have been having their nails done here for years. I can see a lot of reviews saying the staff are rude.. I have never experienced this. I think a lot of people are too sensitive and take things the wrong way. English is not their first language, they are direct and to the point.. they do not mess about, they get your nails done beautifully and in a timely manner. I have never had a problem with my nails, they always squeeze me in.. even when I don’t have an appointment and I always leave happy. I highly recommend modern touch.

I went about two months ago after a rough morning the guy in there so rude kept tutting as i was tense then the young girl because I touched her hand she very roudly said don't touch my hand!!!! Made me feel so uncomfortable 😕 after paying there was £3 change and i heard the guy say she should of let us keep the change.... Just so rude it's like they don't like people and to top of when I went somewhere else they commented how bad my nails was....

Very unhappy with the treatment (and with my nails) at this salon today. Rude people, not understanding or caring for my needs or how I could feel while shouted at by the gentleman while other clients were watching. I won’t come back.

Are you the lady who come to have gel colour on your natural nails right?
Normally gel colour on natural take maximum half hour to do it, but our nails technician has taken 1 hour to to do it for you as you pick the colour that required more than 2 coat but you are too fussy you said you don't like it , we took off ar redo , our nails technician has asked you if it's OK, you said yes and paid for your service, while doing your nails you don't know what to have our lady was very patient with you, thank you for not coming to our salon

My sister and I decided to have a sisters day and went to this nail salon, This was the first time going to this salon as we are not from colchester, i got an acrylic overlay and my sister got a full set acrylic and a normal polish on her feet. From arrival the staff was not friendly and was quite hostile towards us But we both ignored it. My sister went before me and started with her toes, the lady was very unprofessional and was spraying my sister feet and judging it. The way she spoke to my sister was absolutely disgusting and the way she told my sister to stand instead of asking. This lady was not inviting at all and the gentleman was definitely not inviting at all. The gentleman was talking very rough to us but was talking with the other customers of other race, The lady that was doing the nails was not trying to hear what me and my sister was saying and just did what she wanted to do. I got an acrylic overlay and was charge for full set acrylic with white tips. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place for anyone as it was awful.

Ombré nails exactly what I asked for and perfect.
Lovely lovely staff! Offered drinks etc and my daughter was even given a lolly.
Was a walk in and they fit me in and really gave my nails the attention they deserved and wasn’t rushed at all. Price was also fair for ombré nails.

I have tried 3 different nail salon in Colchester and this one didn’t disappoint me. Love the staff, was straight away offered a drink, have amazing coffee, lovely chat and walked out with fresh BIAB , pink nails and French tips 🥰🤍
