I visited this salon based on high recommendations from two friends, but my experience was unfortunately very concerning. I noticed the tools used on my nails were taken directly from a previous client without being sterilized. Furthermore, when an extension didn’t go as planned, the technician attempted to pick it off using his own fingernails. I had to step in and ask him to stop. For a salon with such a great reputation, the lack of basic hygiene and professional technique was disappointing.
My daughter had her nails done at Christmas and they were beautiful!
Well priced, only 38£, very straightforward and exact to what I wanted. Reccommended to all my friends!
Didn’t get the picture I asked for nor the shape.
Staff pleasant. I didn't wait long..
I will go again.
I got my nails done here and asked for a 3d design which they said they could do. The nails ended up looking nothing like the photo I showed them and they continued to charge me a ridiculous amount for them. I left the shop so upset and called them about it to tell them I was not happy with the nails or the price. I went back and luckily they removed them and re-did them for free.
Amazing nails I love it
whenever i get my nails done they would last up to about 4 weeks. i would recommend this salon love my nails
Came here on Friday, walked through the door and basically got ignored for 5 minutes to then tell them what I wanted. I wanted to try a new nail place as mine is future away, what a joke of a place. If you see all my reviews I do are good so to give a 1 star is mad for me. There was 2 ladies having their nails done before me I was next. A girl came in for a booking so I made sure she went before me as she was adamant that I was waiting for a long time before her. When I finally got to the table all I got asked was “what do you want” I wanted French. So he starts adding tips, putting on the acrylic etc. (before he put the acrylic powder on I said I didn’t want it too pink and showed him a picture of what I had before and asked is it the same colour and he told me yes) first thing any place I’ve gone to I’ve never seen acrylic so wet and people who know what I’m talking about knows what I mean. When I saw the colour I already knew I didn’t like the colour but it’s whatever I’ll get over that. When he was filing the nails down and I looked I asked for them to be a lot thinner as they were as thick as a pound coin. He told me I should’ve said before putting on the acrylic…now I’m no expert but if you google how thick they should be it tells you no more than a thickness of a credit card. All salons that I’ve been to have never had an issue. So I’m not sure why the older man had such a problem and started losing his temper with me. He started being rough and my nails were actually hurting. After all this I told him some were a bit uneven as some of the thickness wasn’t filed down properly. Had a problem again. Anyway after that it was the tip part, I told him not too thick…my guy does the tiniest tip so I asked for it to be a little thicker and to go up the side and again he had a problem so I just left with my nails like that. In the picture if you see the nails are still uneven, everything about them is uneven. What a funny experience, they look awful🤣 fml
I came here for Xmas nails, and they were great. Did exactly what i wanted very neatly, but they were quite rough with the file filing my fingers. Didn’t speak any English but that’s ok
Always the best nails - couldn't recommend more!
I decided to try J&J for the first time instead of my usual salon, and it was a terrible experience. I requested a black and red airbrush design, but what I received (attached in the photo) was nowhere near worth the £42 I paid. I got these nails done on Friday, and by Sunday, they were already peeling and lifting because the gel underneath wasn’t properly cured and was still wet. My nails are also different lengths.
I specifically got these nails for my holiday, and I’m now stuck with this mess while I’m out of the country. I asked for a £20 refund to fix my nails elsewhere and drop the issue. J&J offered me 30% off my NEXT set as compensation, stating they don’t provide refunds. Why would I return to a salon that did a terrible job the first time, for a new set?
Avoid J&J — Poor service and moody atmosphere, you feel nervous even asking for the colour/design you want.
