I got a simple French tip full set of acrylic extensions for my hen do a little over a week ago i paid £40 for them, i loved them at first until i got home and looked in better lighting and where the white tips were painted on they are so bumpy and uneven, i dont know why they didnt just use the extentions that are already white, and now a week later the nails have chipped and begun to lift.

I’m giving an extra star because the staff were lovely and the shop is very clean. I also left the shop happy with the overall finish of my nails, the tips varied from nail to nail but it was only slightly. However the next day the tips started to peel off. I paid extra for gel (as you do with French tips), it hasn’t even been a week and they are not in good shape. I am really dissapointed because either their gel polish is very poor quality or it’s expired. I have gotten gel polish numerous times and they do not budge at all. I’m really dissapointed because I will have to pay another shop to remove this gel and go over it again. I am unlikely to revisit, maybe if I need something quick but definitely wouldn’t pay extra for gel.

I took my daughter to get to get her nails done and we showed her 2 pictures she said they would both be £35 she showed her the ones she picked and they rushed the nails and didn’t do the design on all nails she missed 3 nails on each hand out then also a day later her little finger nail came off they looked terrible
I took her back and the lady said there was nothing wrong with them she said she would fix the little nail and do the designs on the other nails
Once finished my daughter came out so upset she burst into tears
We went to another shop to get advice and they were so shocked and said they have definitely not been done properly

easy walk in but went in for a simple nail change and after 2-3 days the gel on my acrylics started to peel. had to return to get them re done free of charge but the paint job was bumpy and the nails weren’t shaped to a nice standard.

I went in today for a little bit of detail on the nails, I got a gel manicure, I went in the first it was good, all fine then they changed people and started on the detail, now on my nail there are thick bits and thin bits, she was rushing and missed the white dots in the inspo pic

I’m new to Colchester and was looking for somewhere I could have my nails done. I visited Hollywood nails today as it was the first place I came across and requested short acrylics with pink nude polish. Nothing too complicated.

The lady that did my nails didn’t bother trimming my natural nails first, nor did she clean up around the cuticle area. Application of the acrylic was so terrible, some of the acrylic wasn’t even on the whole of the nails and some nails were bulky and some thin after filing.
The shaping of the nails were very poor; inconsistent in shape and size. She didn’t bother to check each nail against one another to make sure they’re a similar shape and size, only after I asked her to file 2 nails down (as they were clearly longer that the rest) did she bother to do this. She also filed my skin on a few occasions which was very painful.
The glue used to attach the nail extension was stuck to my skin. She didn’t bother to fix this prior to application of the acrylic so it was painful when she was filling. She eventually realised this and attempted to separate the glue from my skin which caused discomfort. I felt really disappoint with my experience and after leaving the shop and going home, I had to file some of the nails myself just so they could look similar. I honestly feel like I’ve been ripped off.

I definitely will not be returning, especially as there are other more reputable nail shops close by that I’ve found out about today.I also will not be recommending this place to family or friends

I used this place about 11 years ago and after being disappointed with the nail salon I was using thought I’d give this place a try again, big mistake!
Walked in at 9.o’clock on a Saturday morning I was the first customer there, I got the vibe from the lady sitting down on her phone I was a big inconvenience to her, anyway she started my acrylics (using white tips) 🤮 who uses them anymore?! Paid. Left. Never went back I’ve found another salon near the library and it’s amazing!!

Workers are very lovely and typically I walk away happy with my nails, only a few occasions where they’ve been slightly blobby or misshapen but normally i am pleased :)

Infills and 2 nail replacement. Charged £35!!!!! White tips r big and uneven. Nails that were replaced are you short! Lady also rude. Avoid this shop
