Amazing hairdresser in Battersea!

Love the place for many reasons. I absolutely love how they wash your hair and you can fully relax, the way they listen to what you want, and that beautiful coffee they serve. Big place and in great spot, the one thing that bothers me that trim is a trim and not a big chop. Otherwise wonderful place!

I asked for a trim and no more than half an inch off the end, way more was cut off because that’s what the hairdresser decided she’d like!!!

Honestly doesn’t even deserve a single star. The hairdresser made my son’s hair a disaster. I had to revisit the salon to complain, while Justina, the hairdresser handled the situation in a extremely rude manner. Cannot believe it was done by an actual qualitifed hairdresser, she absolutey does not deserve to work in any salon considering her skills and costumer service. Please choose another place if you dont want to ruin your hair!

My review has since been removed. Avoid at all costs I went there with a consultation and the “colourist” told me she was hungover and came from a date and was eating in the backroom. She coloured my virgin hair green. Avoid avoid avoid avoid has taken me years and years to grow my hair back please do not support this establishment

I have been coming to see Joe for years now and recommend him anyone who asks me about colour. I am very particular with my hair, having had some colour disasters in the past.

Joe always gets it right and I would only ever trust him with my blonde, he’s a master at the freehand natural balayage. I love coming in to see him as I know for certain I’m going to be happy each and every time. He always has my hair looking natural. He blends it so with my colour that it grows out beautifully.

Highly recommend Joe for anyone looking to get colour done!

I have been a client of Paul Edmonds for well over 10 years, dating back to the salon’s earlier incarnation in Knightsbridge before the move to Battersea. My longtime colourist there has since moved abroad, and since then I have been trying different colourists within the salon to find someone who works for me. Replacing someone excellent is never easy, and I will admit I am particular about my hair, but nothing could have prepared me for how badly my most recent appointment would go.

My hair has always been one of my signature features. I usually have balayage done, and it is normally elegant, soft, expensive-looking and in excellent condition. This time, after my initial appointment, the colour was not right. It was an odd tone and not lifted properly, which was surprising in itself given that the salon has years of my colour history on file. I returned to have it corrected - showing clear pictures of my hair previously, and that is when things went from disappointing to genuinely shocking.

My hair has now been bleached to within an inch of its life. The result is very yellow, patchy, stripy and nothing like a refined balayage. It does not look blended, sophisticated or natural. It looks harsh, overprocessed and frankly embarrassing. The hairline is especially bad, and I cannot even wear my hair up without feeling self-conscious. Instead of the soft grow-out balayage is supposed to give, I have obvious roots and poor regrowth after barely any time at all. It genuinely looks more like dated stripy highlights than luxury balayage.

What makes this worse is that I had this done ahead of my 40th birthday and an important holiday. Instead of feeling excited and confident, I have spent the last week feeling embarrassed to be seen in public. My confidence has taken a real hit. I have worked hard to keep my hair in beautiful condition, and this appointment has left it dry, damaged and in need of urgent remedial work.

I have now had to seek emergency help from another top colourist elsewhere, who was frankly horrified by the condition, placement and overprocessing. Because the hair is now too compromised for aggressive recolouring, I am having to pay for temporary corrective measures just so I can go away and feel presentable, followed by a longer-term recovery plan to undo the damage.

I am honestly appalled that I was allowed to leave the salon looking like this, and even more appalled that the attempted correction made it worse. After more than a decade as a loyal client, I never expected to be writing a review like this.

Thank you so much to the team at Paul Edmonds for always making me feel so welcome every time and especially this festive season as I had broken my leg. The entire team went above and beyond to ensure I was as comfortable as possible and that I was able to still have a pamper to feel better. I am a frequent customer of hair salons in my home country. (2-3 times a week for hair blow) and once in a month for hair dye. I have been at Paul Edmonds only once. It was only for blow dry, which is for me still a difficult and important service, I have seen many untalented hair artists around the world even for blow dry. At Paul Edmonds the service and the quality impressed even for blow dry. I will become a regular customer during my stays in London.
