Google I’ve been going to Helen @ Star Nails for a while. She sure knows her stuff - she is spot on with her suggestions and finding the perfect colour from my (usually very poor) descriptions and she’s always really accommodating with or without appointments. She only wants her clients to walk away relaxed and happy and that shows in how she treats you - even offering a cup of tea when they’re not snowed under! She’s very professional and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Google Had my nails done (gel manicure) only two days ago and it’s full with bubbles. I did advise the guy that day, that I can see many bubbles and if the quality it’s good, and he said do not worry it will go. But obviously it did not……

Google I have been coming to Star Nails for more than 5 years now - Helen is fab at doing my regular SNS nails. Reading some of the other reviews, yes they may have busy periods due to walk ins but this reflects how popular and good they are.

Google Do not go here to get acrylics/biab/gel nails removed. I went to get biab nail extensions off and the lady has ruined my nails as they look scratched and are so weak and thin. Avoid.

Hi, after you take off any type of products your natural nails will feel weak as you alway have strong things on to protect your nails. Now no protection so that they feel weak. You need to put nails strengthen on your nails every day to help your nails better after all hun.

Google I have been a regular customer for very many years. Today I decided to treat myself to a pre holiday manicure & pedicure. Despite having booked an appointment, others walked in off the street & were seen before me. Already this afternoon the manicure is peeling at the edges & will need to be removed. Equipment appears to be used on each & every customer without being sterilised in between & the foot baths refilled immediately without being cleaned. The area by the window where I sat waiting for my nails to dry was absolutely filthy, the window sill, floor & skirting boards were thick with dirt, dust & cobwebs. Altogether very unhygienic. I’ve wasted my money as the manicure will need to be redone & I now have a painful toe where a piece of nail was ripped off, just before my holiday. I hope I don’t get an infection. A sad decline & regretfully I won’t be returning.

time. We are alway treat our appointments first as they are priority, I think you missed understanding that the other person have appointments and she running a bit late. We have to let priority appointments first. So sorry about that we mind not let you know .
We are sure that all our equipment and basing are clean and been sanitised ( we have big heat sanitation machines in door) before use, our cleaning stuff is next to our pedicure chair for use . If you carefully you can spot and see it clearly.
About the normal polish we are
not Guarantee that they last long as we are alway tell you before we do. If you have time please come back so we can have a good look and happy to redo them for you. We alway here to help and alway make sure if you not happy you have to tell us straight away so we can fix it and make you happy.

Google Its shocking that post-Covid, this salon are NOT disinfecting their clippers or even wiping down chairs; just think of the clippers being used it on many clients feet and finger nails(however dirty). To top it, the pedicurist ripped off a piece of cuticle on my toe when it should have been cut as the rip tore into my skin and exposed the flesh. Sore for a few days after and worried about the possibility of infection from unclean equipment. Staff are sullen and rude. They were late by 10mins opening for my first morning appointment while I waited in the street but offered no apologies whatsoever. Not a single smile during my whole visit. Not a place to visit as there are many cleaner salons in the area that offer much better welcome service.

However, we are alway put out equipment in to the heat sanitation and get it out for new client. We alway make sure our client happy when they leave and we are listening to any feedback to update our service.
If we delay we always apologize to our appointment as we come from London, depending on traffic, we try our best to aim on time. Hope you can understand.

Google Visited again recently. They massively overbooked themselves (and took walk ins!) so our appointment took ages as staff kept having to go off to see other customers, leave us waiting and come back. Was annoying!
Good job and good value but miserable staff who seem like they would rather be anywhere else (bar one girl who was friendly)
