I was recommended this place and it is amazing! I have had my first set of BIAB for 3 weeks now and they still look fresh.
The loveliest technicians put so much care into my nails after fitting me in without an appointment on a Saturday - best nails and experience I’ve ever had!
Went in this evening and received a wonderful and caring service! My nails were in good hands, they look and feel amazing. 😌 the shop was immaculate and very clean with tons of nail colours and beauty services available. If you are looking for a welcoming, lovely and great quality service.. book it now! 🤩🤩🤩 thank you again!!
Krishna did my wedding nails and they were absolutely perfect, exactly what I wanted. Wonderful experience ❤️
I’ve just left the salon feeling amazing! The pedicure was the best I have ever had! Can’t thank you enough, and for taking me on such short notice too! Highly recommend👏🏻👏🏻
Incredible!! Both ladies were so welcoming and lovely, they squeezed me in even though I hadn’t had an appointment and they were very busy! Rimple took so much care with my nails, she was so precise and fixed every single small fault she would see!! She did an amazing job, thank you so much, I will absolutely be coming back ❤️
The ambivalence is breath taking. The staff allway take their time to make your nails look perfect without any rush.
Horrible experience at this place. Not accommodating or welcoming to the disabled.
I help to care for my friend, a lovely lady who is in a wheelchair and requires assistance to get around. Her husband had booked her an appointment at this salon to get acrylic extensions on one of her hands. When arriving, the owner then said that her husband hadn’t booked for acrylic, only polish and she didn’t have the time to accommodate her, which was understandable. She said to call back and arrange another appointment. When we did call back, She was given a time of 11am for her appointment which I heard over the phone and had written down for her.
When it came to the day of the appointment, we arrived on time at 11am and waited over 10 minutes for someone to come out of the salon and greet us (As my friend would require assistance to get into the shop with her wheelchair). When the owner did come out, she began saying that my friend was late for her appointment and that she had been booked in for 10am. We knew this wasn’t the case as we had repeated the time of appointment multiple times. The owner then ran in and got her booking system out which had the time of 10am for the appointment, despite her clearly stating 11am over the phone. The owner then said she wouldn’t be able to fit her in as she has regulars and the salon is very busy.
During the whole interaction, the owner did not directly speak to the lady I care for and rather addressed me even though I was not the one who had booked and was paying for the service. I told her multiple times she could refer directly to my friend, however she continued to speak to myself.
When we left, my friend was extremely disheartened as she was looking forward to having her nails done and said that she felt they just didn’t want her in their shop or to accommodate her needs.
I then made her an appointment at ‘Mary’s’ nails at the bottom of Byers road and explained to them on the phone that they may need to move furniture around to accommodate my friend and her wheelchair. They were more than happy to do this and when we arrived they done everything they could to ensure she was comfortable and happy.
Whilst i understand that IVY is a small salon, and that mistakes can be made with appointment times etc, staff could have easily moved a few chairs around there would have been plenty of space to comfortably accommodate my friend. And there was no effort made to rectify the issue with appointment times, instead my friend left feeling unwelcomed and down about herself.
Hello Erin, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that our clients recent visit did not meet her expectations but I would also like to clear the big misunderstanding that we have.
Allow us to address all the points you have made, although the events you have stated did occur it’s not quite as you write it out to be.
First, the clients husband made an in person appointment for gel and eyebrows and stated before hand that his wife was paralysed and disabled. With that in mind, we moved chairs and tables so that we could accommodate our client. When she arrived we realised that her wheelchair was bigger than we expected so to accommodate her we started moving more things around which she also saw in person. As the client has seen, our salon is unfortunately not that spacious but we did what we could.
When the technician started prepping her nails which I would also like to add, the technician was standing the whole time prepping the clients nails because the wheelchair unfortunately didn’t fit under the table and so the technician resolved to standing instead as we take our client’s comfortability very seriously more than our own.
Ivy beauty and nails is known for our welcoming, caring and comfortable environment.
When the technician was about to apply gel only then did the client state that she wanted acrylics and only one of our technicians can do acrylics but at that time she was already fully booked for that entire day which the client understood and so she booked for the next available appointment on the spot which was 10-11am. This was a verbal, in person conversation at the salon.
When the day came, the technician was waiting during the clients allocated time and assumed that she might be late but by the time the client came the technician had already taken her other client which had a booking for 11am. When the technician saw the client waiting outside the door, she rushed outside and told the client that she was late for her appointment and that her other client who was booked for 11am had already came so she could not take her. The client then stated that she had booked for 11am to which the technician denied and showed the client proof of the online bookings on her phone which clearly showed her being fully booked after 11am and that the clients booking being at 10am. The technician apologised that she could not take the client and asked if she wanted another booking to which the client declined.
Although we are grateful for all the feedback we get, whether it’s negative or positive as we use all the feedback to improve our customer service.
Reviews like this, which are false and don’t show the true story can’t be taken lightly.
As you have stated yourself, we are a small business and leaving false information on our business can heavily impact our image.
I would request you to please contact your friend/our client and double check the facts.
Thank you, hope this misunderstanding is cleared.
Awful experience at this salon, was rushed in and told there was other clients so basically hurry up. I called and booked up for a removal of gels as mine had snapped and new gel nails.
They didn't say there wasn't time for my nails they was happy to book me in but then treat me in this appalling manner.
I was trying to find a nice shade and none of the colours looked the same on as they did on the samples.
Then the ladies in the salon lied and said my salon had used a Biab on my nails and that's why it took longer - when my salon hadn't used Biab at all another way to blame the customer and blame another salon - very unprofessional.
They tried to get as many people in as possible for as much income but no care for the customer.
Out of all nail bars I have been to this is by far the worst and 1 star is generous.
Staff was rude , unhelpful just because THEY didn't book enough time tried to blame me and make me feel bad for booking in.
Horrific experience, first time in Glasgow to be greeted like that shocking.
This is fabulous place. Both girls are so attentive to your requests. Massage is amazing, nails, brows. Whatever you need to be done, it is a first class job.
Absolutely fantastic. So much care and attention given to each nail and they are seamless, it’s like they are just a better version of my own nails! Probably one of the best manicures I have had. Already booked my next appointment!
Thanks Kirsty for your lovely review 😍 much appreciated
I started going to this salon a few months ago, and now I wouldn't go anywhere else! The ladies are lovely and so professional, they always go above and beyond to make sure I am happy and I always leave with a smile on my face and fantastic nail art❤️
