I’ve had my hair cut here many times, and Bahar(not sure if the spelling is right, but it meant spring) is amazing with every style I’ve asked for. I usually go for soft layers(as in the photo), but this time I decided to try wispy bangs for the first time. I was a little nervous about how they would look on me, but Bahar made me feel completely comfortable. She kept the bangs slightly longer so that if I didn’t like them, I could easily switch to side-swept fringes.

I also asked for a wolf cut (but not too choppy), and she did exactly what I had in mind. She really listens and delivers exactly what you want. Bahar is definitely my go-to hairdresser!

another great cut! This is an update to my post from around a year ago - the four last photos, are the amazing restyle I had done last minute by their talented stylist.

Recently, I had the silly idea to cut away at my own hair. It wasn’t looking great. ..Apologies for no before photos - but use your imagination, please, I’m sure we’ve all done it. I had butt length hair before, and tried to put my own “layers” in. I had to go in to the Salon to fix it! They accommodated me WITHIN the day! I was so happy with the result. Albeit it had to be much shorter obviously due to my own attempt to “DIY” at home - but the stylist salvaged it and made it truly wearable and lovely for such a reasonable price, and she had an amazing attitude. So easy to style at home, too. Thank you once again ladies!

Thank you Mary! The owner / manager gave me a beautiful wash, with a trim, restyle, and layers for a very reasonable price of only £30. I wish I had a decent before photo - but as you can see, the result is shiney and lovely. I am happy with my hair and will be back. I think some of the negative reviews should communicate to the salon if they aren’t happy. I know from my personal experience that the lady who did my hair is very professional and can take on board criticism. Rather than leaving negative reviews you should bring it up with her at the time if you have an issue :) this is a good salon that deserves compliments. Well done and thank you!

I called to get a wash cut and blow dry with hair extensions in and asked if they had sulphate free shampoo and was told I could bring my own. She gave me a dry cut which was very uneven, I asked for layers and I definitely did not get that. I showed a photo of the blow dry I wanted and emphasised I didn’t want curls. She attempted to blow dry my hair with a hair dryer and said it wasn’t working so she started using a hair straighter to do curls. Not a blow dry look whatsoever. Just tight curls. She pulled so hard at my hair and going over the same spot many times. No heat protector used. My hair was sizzling. She made my recently done extensions come loose and pulled my hair off my scalp. This was a week ago and I have been on holiday since so did not have a chance to write a review soon. I’m mortified at my experience. Went home so upset. My very expensive extensions are now so heat damaged and so dry even after attempting to repair them with masks. I called for at least a refund even though compensation is deserved for the damage to my hair. She was so beyond unhelpful and so so rude. Refused any sort of help because ‘it’s unfair on her’ and not believing it was her that caused the damage. No idea how the business is still running. She blamed me for not saying in the moment and that she cannot do anything about it now. I am so let down and so frustrated. Should’ve read reviews before going in. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Never been someone to complain or write a review but this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have included photos to show the damage and the awful cut that was supposed to be layers.

Really, the worst nails I’ve probably ever had. The girl also filed my skin to the point almost ever finger bleeding. Uncomfortable environment. Please just please don’t go. They aren’t trained 💔

I came in with long hair down to my stomach, asked for a trim and clarified I don’t want much off at all, just ends. I had a dry cut which involved facing down so they could do the back then I l felt shocked with how much was taken off when it’s not what I asked for, but obviously have to let it continue to be even all the way. I felt upset but didn’t want to appear rude and nothing I could do anyway when it’s already now cut short at the back. I didn’t play about it with in the salon, they didn’t have a mirror to show me, and I had paid in advance, so when it was done I went home to look at it properly. I started crying when others also commented how much shorter it is now and how uneven it is. I took photos and so did my next (emergency) hairdresser. Mary Hair did offer for me to come back to get it evened out but I didn’t want this as I unfortunately lost trust in them to do this. I cried for ages when I inspected it further at home, and my next hairdresser also mentioned it’s so unbalanced and that they should never have cut my hair so short when I didn’t want this to happen. I called Mary Hair to explain that I’m sorry to have to ask for a refund for the first time at a hairdressers and they called me back speaking very rudely saying my review could affect business and called me names like silly and cheeky when I was nothing but polite to them. They shouted over me, claimed they didn’t cut this much off despite the fact they did and have done this to many others too I see. I want to make sure to show people what they did to my hair so attached a before photo of myself too. You left a whole inch and a half longer on one side so this isn’t me being rude, it’s honestly that this isn’t very professional or anything an experienced hairdresser should do. I can’t understand how this was accidental. I’m entitled to leave an honest review and don’t want anymore rude calls calling me any names.

I visit this salon to get shellac, threading and waxing done. However, after my experience of nails, I will not be returning. When I entered, no one even looked up or addressed me, I had to inch forward until someone asked "have you got an appointment?" I replied "no" and the lady asked what I wanted, I told her I wanted shellac and she told me to sit down. I was then told to sit at the nail bar and I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She then proceeded to use the nail drill. I told her I had nail strengthen polish on. She unfortunately didn't understand and we communicated through Google translate, which I had no issues with. She spent possibly 45 minutes filling my nails and using the nail drill 3x, she filled my cuticles so much with the drill that they were red and I actually pulled my hand back a few times. I understand she was learning but this was just uncomfortable. The lady who actually does nails come over after she had finished with another client and looked at the picture and said "we can't do that" (the picture was a simple french manicure with a pink line through it) I asked why and she replied we can do pink all over. I told her that is not what I wanted and she just replied that it was not possible. I said I should have been told that at the start before sitting half way through. She replied "the lady does not know" at this point they woman said she would and do it but she is not a nail designer. She eventually did the design. During it there was moment there i adjusted my elbow and the woman rudely said "don't move" I stared back at her as I was close to walking out, at that point I had been sitting with my hands and arms in that position for over an hour! She finished and the proceeded to move me to the chair for the threading and waxing to which I replied no thank you. I had been in there for an hour and a half at that point! When I was there, I found them quiet rude and abrupt to other customers, a lady walked in and asked for her nails to be done and the lady replied "we're too busy" no "hi" or " sorry about that". The girl next to me was getting her nails done and was busy talking to her friend and nail tech asked if she was happy with her nails and the girl said it's not what she asked for and the lady doing my nails replied "well we don't have time to change it". I found the service poor, communication was poor and the nails techs not trained properly for a nail salon. I suspect the client retention is poor for this salon and I definitely won't be coming back!
