I booked a deluxe manicure and pedicure and had a disappointing experience overall.

When I arrived, I specifically asked if we could start with my hands, as I chose regular polish and wanted enough time for it to dry while still in the salon. I was told this wasn’t possible due to the salon being “fully booked” and because different technicians would be doing my hands and feet - even though the place appeared empty at the time. I accepted this and went ahead with the pedicure first.

During the treatment, the technician was continuously singing along to the radio. While I appreciate she was in a good mood, I was really hoping for a calm, relaxing experience - especially as a mum of young children, I value these rare quiet moments.

After finishing my pedicure, it turned out that the same technician would also be doing my manicure. This made it clear that the earlier explanation for not starting with my hands wasn’t accurate, which was frustrating. Because of this, I ended up rushing through the manicure and had no proper time to let my nails dry before needing to leave to pick up my kids.

As for the “deluxe” manicure itself, I’ve included photos so you can judge the quality for yourself.

Overall, the experience felt disorganised and far from relaxing, which is what I was hoping for.

My go-to nail salon in Kew! All the staff are lovely and have been around for years making the whole place run like a very well-oiled machine. Dana is exceptionally good; I always go for classic mani/pedis (not acrylics) and she managed to make mine last for two weeks without cracking, chipping or growth showing!
