Nice place, but by far the WORST manicure service I’ve ever experienced at Vy’s Nails. The technician did not remove my cuticles at all — she didn’t even touch cuticle nippers. I literally had to go home and do my own cuticle work after paying for the service, which is completely unacceptable.

On top of that, I wasn’t even allowed to choose the shade of pink for my French manicure, which is basic for any professional service. There was no attention to detail and no respect for the client’s preferences.

This was a total waste of money. I will never come back — never again in my life. This service is worth no more than £25. Serious improvements are needed.

I genuinely don’t understand how this qualifies as a professional manicure.

I’ve been a regular at Vy’s for years now and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Tina does my mani/pedi as well as waxing and she’s absolutely incredible - always kind, welcoming professional and consistently delivering excellent service. When I first moved to the area my visits with Tina quickly became a real highlight and now that I have a newborn baby, Tina always makes it very easy for us at the salon. Vy herself is a genuinely approachable and helpful owner and it’s clear how much love and care she puts into every detail of the salon - from cleanliness, thoughtful interior updates to lovely touches like sweets for guests at the entrance. Five stars from me and then some!

Just went for gel removal and basic filing. I was passed around between three different technicians. Ended up with my two hands looking completely different from one another. If they were so busy i shouldnt have been told they have space.

I’ve accompanied my client to Ivy’s Nails every two weeks, and while the nail technicians are consistently polite, skilled, and genuinely pleasant, my experience with the owner has been extremely disappointing.

In my personal experience, the owner’s attitude comes across as rude and dismissive. On our most recent visit, my colleague supported our client to her appointment for a facial, and she had her treatment cut short due to what appeared to be a scheduling error that the owner herself had made. She had double-booked an appointment, yet my client was the one who ended up being penalised for it. This, combined with other occasions where I’ve witnessed the owner speaking rudely to customers, has made the environment feel uncomfortable and unprofessional.

It’s a real shame, because the staff are lovely and seem to work very hard despite what appears to be a tense and unsupportive atmosphere created by management. I genuinely applaud their professionalism for working under such conditions.

Based on my experiences, I will not be returning to this salon. In my view, the owner is doing a disservice to both her business and her team, who deserve much better.
