The lady fitted me in quickly however, I am not pleased with the gel nail-polish removal service. The under layer has not been removed properly, and has now discoloured. I paid £12 to have this removed, not impressed.

Worst nail salon i’ve been to all my life. came in for a simple gel set on my natural nails (all white) the very same day they started peeling (assuming because not only did she put so many layers, but she barely waited for them to dry) came in the next day and she had a horrible attitude with me . guessing because she was embarrassed the set she done wasn’t the best. now not even 2 weeks later they’ve literally been peeling and look horrible. would give 0 starts if i could. don’t come here guys USA NAILS IS BETTER!!!!

On arrival, I was greeted rudely and was about to be turned away for the nail design I wanted. I settled for a simple infill which was done poorly. My nails are all different shapes, they were not buffed down properly so look bulky, and there are smudges in the paint where the technician had aggressively placed the nail lamp over my wet nails. Please don’t come here!!!

LOYALTY GETS YOU NOWHERE! I have been regularly coming here every few weeks for 5/6 years and never have I been so mistreated and disrespected in my life. It got to a point the man made me cry.

I generally get acrylic nails done with gel polish as a standard colour, there may be some bumps and unevenness. I am not the type to be confrontational and if I don't like something I'll be afraid to say it, I don't know why I kept giving this place a chance I just felt like a loyal customer and didn't want to change.

There is rare occasions I ask for a pattern or something different and I randomly tip them also I don't know why. The younger lady who is less experienced I always give her a chance but I always end up have air bubbles on my toes and bumpy nail polish.

MAIN STORY - I went to get my nails done before my holiday a few weeks ago and ask for a French tip for my toes, the white bits was so wonky and uneven. The young unexperienced lady did this. Then they past me over to the man (Ben) he could see I didn't like them so he tried to fix it. He is like 'yeah done fixed' and tried putting on my shoes for me without me even seeing it! No it weren't fixed. He just did not want to re do it again like he was in a rush. At this point I just left the toes and said its fine even though it wasn't. Then for my hands I asked for a French tip however the tip was a blend of pink and orange (a bit like a marble effect) (BARE IN MIND I SHOWED ALL THREE WORKERS A PICTURE AT THE START AND THEY SAID THEY COULD DO IT).. he started off doing the tip all orange then tried to dry it, I said are you not blending in the pink and he goes no I will do after, I was so confused how can u blended two colours if its dry. Then he tried painting random pink lines on the orange it was so bad! I said it looks nothing like my picture and he goes yeah it does. I asked the other workers does it look like my picture, they knew it wasn't and just ignored me. Then I said it clearly needs to be blended like marble, and he was like you didn't say marble at the start. SORRY?! your the nail artist I shown you a picture its clearly marble. AND THEN he said he isn't redoing it. He said it will take a long time to redo it and do a proper marble affect. We starting arguing I started crying because I had rubbish nails for my holiday. Then he tried rubbing it off and fixing it. It was not what I wanted but I just wanted to get out of there.

If anything I wanted to walk out and not pay but I am not that type of person. Because they were wrong and literally blamed me and made me cry I expected a discount, especially that I tip and such a loyal customer. They charged my full price. After this I knew I was not coming back again.

I then rang them yesterday to give them one last chance (again don't know why) and said because of how I was treated and I am a regular customer I do think you should give my next set of nails free or discounted. He said no he can not do that. So I am not coming back.

MORAL OF THE STORY - loyalty gets you nowhere, don't be nice to rude people. DONT GO TO STAR NAILS GRANBY STREET.

Definitely the best place to get your nails done in Leicester, Ben and Anne and so friendly and make sure my nails are perfect every time!
I also book my appointment using Instagram and they always fit me in.
