I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Legend Nails, St Albans.
I have been going there for the past three years mainly because it is close to my work and home. Although I was never completely satisfied with the service, I continued going out of convenience. The only people I have consistently found polite and welcoming are the manager and his wife.

Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the worst experience I have had there. I went in for a simple BIAB infill with French tips. During the appointment, I realised I didn’t have enough time for the full design and politely asked if she could just add a small heart on one nail instead.

Because the technician was wearing a mask and had a very strong accent, I genuinely could not understand what she was asking me. I politely asked her to repeat herself and even apologised for asking again, but I still couldn’t understand. Instead of being patient, she became visibly frustrated, making gestures, sighing loudly, and putting her hand on her forehead. And she was frustrated since the beginning of the service but it was just getting worse.

As a paying customer, I found this behaviour extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I simply asked her to finish because I just wanted to leave. After being a customer for three years, I expected basic courtesy and patience.

This experience has completely put me off. I will not be returning — even if they offered me free service.

I’ve persevered for the past year. One rude technician messed up my gels twice ‘& was so rude on two separate accessions, which resulted in lengthy visits to correct her work. Then today the owner wanted to put gel over my nail that’s completely detached due to a trauma & was quite rude when I refused his offer to soak it off with acetone if it started to hurt. Surly the owner of a busy salon should know basic care of damaged nails 🤔
I won’t be returning!!!!

Just got my nails done at Legend nails and had my nails done by Jade. She was so lovely.
I wanted a very intricate design and she recreated my reference photo perfectly.
Definitely recommend!!!

WORST NAIL BAR!

Numerous times iv been and like an idiot I kept going back as I liked the colour gels but that’s the last straw!

1 out of 10 times the nails I’ll get will he great the other times are bloody awful. Here’s a long list

Over filing my nails when iv asked them not to and they do it so then the nail is very thin,

Over filing after the gel paint is done so then the paint is taken off the nails

Nails put in crooked

Nails not painted properly

Nails don’t match

Nails are different lengths

Infills not done properly / under nails not drilled so they look dirty and you can see your nails

Getting the shape wrong

Book an appointment on serval occasions and I’m still sat waiting 30-45 minutes (you might as well walk in)

And the list goes on….

I’m sick of the awful customer care and them not listening to what I want but most importantly the awful job the nail technicians do.

I’m always leaving the place unhappy and annoyed at the nails I get .

You will be lucky to get a good set of nails but keep going bank and you will see exactly what I mean

I got acrylics done there Thursday on 19/12/24 and I asked for all to be medium sized and I got medium and small they weren't the same length and I had to wait a 2hr wait when my appointment was at 5 and they didn't even last a week they fell of the next day I really don't recommend this place the acrylics don't last long enough x
