I was recommended this nail place by a friend at work who raved about the skills. I booked an appointment three weeks in advance for my wedding nails and they gave me the date and time. I turned up for my 9:30 appointment and they were closed so I waited for an hour and a half, I emailed and messaged the WhatsApp and no one responded so eventually I gave up and went elsewhere. Any other time I would say whoops they obviously forgot they would be closed which is an easy mistake to make and id come back another day but I'm getting married in a couple of days and this has absolutely ruined my plans so now I'll have to have second rate nails for my wedding and I've wasted two hours that I needed to get things done before my wedding. I'm really upset. Even if they responded to my WhatsApp and explained that would be better than ghosting me completely so I wasn't wasting so much time waiting for them to open.

Great talent, poor service from one specific staff member.

This shop deserves 5 stars for the quality of work—specifically Ethan, who is a top-notch artist. However, my experience with the technician in the first chair was incredibly disappointing. After he shaped my nails incorrectly during my first visit, he has been unprofessional and defensive.

My second visit (where my nails were luckily rectified).

Fast forward to March he repeatedly interjected into conversations that didn't involve him. When I asked another staff member about the gel removal process, he became rude and moody, seemingly because I mentioned Ethan's name. While management suggested a "language barrier," it was clearly a matter of poor attitude and a lack of basic respect. There are plenty of shops in Hemel Hempstead, and such blatant rudeness is shocking. Go for Ethan, but avoid the first chair.

In response to Hemel Nails: I have never had BIAB extensions I don’t know what this is, did you read that I said GEL above ? I always have gel on my own nails. I have never stayed beyond closing and never been late, as I usually come on the weekend during the day. Quite shocking that your response is fabricated 😳 maybe you asked ChatGPT to write for you, I will pop in so you can see who I am 👏.

Anyways Big up Ethan always, he is top notch. I had bad service from the man in the first chair.

I had such a lovely experience at this nail shop! From the moment I walked in, the team was incredibly professional and welcoming. They really took their time to make sure everything was done perfectly, and you could tell they genuinely cared about both their craft and their clients.

Even the nail brought such a great energy. He was so attentive, and at one point, he was even singing softly while working. It added such a warm and relaxed vibe to the whole visit. I left feeling so happy with my nails and the whole experience—I'll definitely be back!

First time attending this salon, asked for a pedicure with dimontes on natural nails. The application of polish made it looked like a 1 1/2 weeks grow out and the diamante design application took multiple attempts to get something that didn't resemble a lopsided triangle. After multiple attempts with no improvement I gave up on the idea and still ended up with one toe lopsided as the other had been set in place already. Whilst the application of polish was unacceptable, I would've gotten over the design failure has I not specifically discussed (via txt) and provided multiple gem placement designs the day before booking to confirm they'd be able to achieve. (Bare in mind the options were 1x diamante to 6x depending on design). Waste of time and money.

Edit following salon reply:Thanks for your response. The diamantes used were the same as the ones used in nail applications as seen in the attached photo (not my hand). I can confirm I am not confusing this salon with another and my review is accurate to the service I received.
