I recently went here for the first time for a hair colour appointment with Karen and I have never been happier with my results. I’ve been to several luxury salons in Edinburgh and can firmly say that Karen provides an exceptional service. She took such time and care with me, especially as my last experience in another salon had left me feeling extremely anxious about getting my hair done. Thank you Karen for all your hard work- I will definitely be back!

May is the best hairdresser I have ever met in my 36 years of getting haircuts - not only is she excellent at cutting hair (essential), she's also a friendly, thoughtful person who always puts you at ease. I have always been a bit anxious about getting my haircut, never really feeling comfortable or listened to but May has always made me feel welcome and never judged. In addition to that, I always leave with a fantastic haircut! A friend recommended May to me about 8 years ago and I will never go to anyone else! <3

I love having my hair cut with May. I have done for 16 years. And now she is he set up Studio 40 with her amazing Nail tech friend Shelley, which has been going for over a year. They are both really professional at what they do and take real care and pride in doing a great job. I really think they have a great salon based on their extensive expertise and years of experience. It’s such a joy you know who you are getting when you book, and you can feel secure that you will leave feeling amazing!
