First time using American Nails and only did so as my usual place was closed today. Everyone was polite. The guy doing my infills was gentle with the drill but his methods and order of stages seemed unusual. (Based on using several different nail bars) He was a tad tight with the colour, but in the lights in the salon all looked ok. On finishing, he just got up and left. No cuticle oil, no communication, just walked off. There was still debris and the horrible white marks on my fingers. On arriving home, I have had to re-file my nails as there were so many hitches, they were catching on clothing. The colour is see through in areas due to lack of coverage, on 3 nails there are debris spots under the top coat, and on 4 nails, the top coat is over the skin and I have had to trim off (which will mean moisture will now inevitably get in). Finally, although I asked for the shape to be kept, my thumbs and middle fingers are different lengths and shapes. Reading other reviews, I would say I had no concerns over cleanliness - all seemed ok on that front. But the quality of work for £30 is really disappointing and as a result I wouldn’t return.

I would not visit American Nails Exeter again. Their tools are not sterilised, I had my nails on not even for 48 hours and they’ve swollen and bruised.

Bad experience. Painful and bleeding cuticles. Had to ask them to redo one of my nails as there were black hairs stuck under the top coat once they were finished. They redid it using a different French tip base colour so now one of my nails is a different colour. Really expensive for the service I received would not recommend.

Honestly most traumatic nail experience ever. Went to have gels removed, not only did he not soak them but he went straight in with the nail file and I was in absolute agony. Still get shivers when thinking about it. Left with my nails absolutely ruined, the gel is still partially left on some of my nails and when filing them he’s even left some of them completely broken…. Then had the audacity to charge £15 in cash…

went to get acrylic infils on my toes and they cut them so short that it looks live ive just painted them by hand, i had to repeatedly tell them i wanted acrylic on my toes and the shaping its just aweful. wasted £35

Horrible Customers service with bad attitude
The staff doesn’t speak English at all my nails so bad they came off straight away after 2 days .
Never recommend and avoid this place

A real scam, I asked for a pedicure, and a young Asiatic, listless guy did it (it was 2pm, so it wasn’t exactly last minute, but even if it was, always have to be professional). Paying £35/40 for 15 minutes of work, really??!!. While I sat down, started filling the bath, I put my feet in the bath, dried my feet, removed a bit of cuticle (very quickly), filed it (quickly) and hit me hard on the heel supposedly to relax my feet...painted my toenails, I paid and left... didn’t even pass 20 minutes!!.
Disgraceful work done poorly, badly painted nails, rushed and in a hurry when there weren’t even people waiting. I had to insist several times for him to file my nails properly and remove some cuticles, and he pretended not to understand. Horrible pedicure and in a rush!. Wont be back!.

I just wanted my toe nails cut and painted. Absolutely butchered it. I cut it better than he did. And charged me £23 pounds for this… I am actually baffled
