Now this is unusual. Giving someone a review without actually having any work done from them first.

I popped into Moon's Nails on Weds. 29th April 2026 at around 3.30pm to enquire as to whether Moon's Nails provided a "dipping powder" service and the cost for this. The shop was empty apart from one customer whom Moon was attending to i.e. doing her nails. There was no other staff available.

As I entered the shop, there was no sign by Moon to even acknowledge that one had walked into her shop even though she was right in front of the shop and saw me walk in. There was no smile and no welcoming "hello" and not even a nod to acknowledge that she had seen me. She made me feel invisible! Is this the way to treat a potential customer who walks into your shop?

Then when I started to pose my question (as above); for some unbeknownst reason her eyebrows became furrowed, her eyes started to narrow and she was getting annoyed at my asking the simple question on whether she provided the above particular service. I asked this in plain English and slowly and coherently. She was so rude in her mannerisms. She did not even bother to reply to my question. I was taken aback as I certainly did not expect to be "treated" in that manner and for no reason. I was there after all, to give her my custom and was hoping to become her regular customer.

I then asked her the pricing for this service. She rudely lifts her right arm and points to the board behind her which showed the prices implying that I was inconveniencing her by asking and that "I should not be asking her, and should just look at the board" myself. She could not even have the decency to verbally say something along the lines of "all the prices are listed on the board" but instead has to rudely point towards the board and not even utter a word.

The patronising and condescending looks that she gave me for the few moments that I was there; she made me feel like an alien who'd just materialised from outer space into her shop!

Walking into Moon's Nails that day was quite a strange and surreal experience for me. I thought to myself; I don't know you, you don't know me, we've never had any dealings in the past etc. - so why would she behave in such a rude manner to someone who was there with the intention of becoming a regular customer?!

I guess it's true what they say ... it certainly take all sorts to make a world.

Based on some of Moon's responses to the comments in the reviews thread; it is very likely that to appear blameless that she will just brush my review off by stating that it is fabricated, or that they have no record of me coming into the shop, etc. --- but I have given the day, date and time of my brief visit to this shop.

It is certainly a shame that I could not give zero stars based purely on this "lady's" poor and hostile attitude, as one is restricted to give a minimum of one star.

I had a great experience at Moon’s Nails today! Moon, the lovely lady who did my manicure, was so friendly and made me feel completely comfortable throughout.
She did a fantastic job on my nails, I’m really happy with the result!
I highly recommend her salon to anyone in the High Wycombe area.

I have been coming to see Moon for over 7 years now and I’ve only ever receive an outstanding service. Moon and her team are a very well oiled machine and go out of their way to accommodate both regulars, people with appointments and walk ins. Moon has great abilities as I often turn up with a screenshot of something I love and she’ll advise me if not practical or she’ll copy it almost exactly.
You’ll never be disappointed and I’m famous at work for my beautiful nails!!
