Very poor communication and unfair charge

I had an appointment booked for Monday 22nd December. On the day, I became severely unwell and tried to contact Jess multiple times throughout the day via Facebook Messenger, which appears to be her only listed contact method. There is no phone number available.

When I Googled the business to check opening hours, it stated that the salon is closed on Mondays, which added to the confusion and made me think the appointment date might be incorrect. Despite messaging all day, I received no response until just before the appointment time, at which point it was too late for me to attend.

I asked to reschedule, explaining the situation, but instead the full treatment cost was deducted from my bank account without the service being provided. I did not cancel the appointment — I was genuinely trying to clarify whether the business was even open, due to the conflicting information online and lack of response.

The communication was extremely poor, and the handling of the situation felt unfair and unreasonable. I would strongly advise others to be cautious, especially given the lack of clear contact details and inconsistent opening hours.

I've been going to Jess for about a year now for builder gel and wouldn't be without them. She offers a wide range of colours and has always accommodated my random nail art requests. I wouldn't go anywhere else, she's fab!
