It would seem this salon specialises in acrylic nails and try to treat natural nails in the same way. An electric file was used pre manicure which cut my skin a couple of times. I asked to keep my nails long and left with all of them far below the tip of my finger, they were filed down 3 times which naturally takes off a good bit of length. I had gel on the skin around my nails at the end and instead of using remover to clean this up I had pieces of skin cut away which left me with rough skin under and around my nails. The staff were nice and friendly but it felt very rushed and I had to mention things weren’t tidy/matching a couple of times. The photos of their acrylics look great but I wouldn’t go back for a manicure, it’s the only place I’ve been to that uses electric files on natural nails.

I visit The Nail Lounge regularly and have always had a good experience. The staff are friendly and it's a nice family run nail bar. Thank you for my nails. PS the pedicures are amazing too!

They were way too heavy handed with the file and all my fingers are bleeding 🥲 never had this issue with any other salon I've been to

Had a wonderful Pedicure today. I have been waiting to treat myself to a Pedicure for about 3yrs after a bad experience at another place in portsmouth it had made me very warey. Very relaxing, lovely and clean and really nice staff. Absolutely delighted and will definitely be returning. 10⭐

Have been a few times feel they’re always in a rush .. the filing drill has hurt my fingers but was told off for pulling away which is a natural reaction 😱 went on Tuesday as my nail technician is away :-(
Wish I hadn’t as my thumb got infected and is still sore … won’t be returning!!!

Felt like a rush job, used the clippers down the sides of my nails after they were painted causing them to bleed and they are now very sensitive. Also agree with other reviews on here that they don’t sanitise their cuticle clippers or equipment.

Tried to give this place a chance by going back a few times but unfortunately is the same every time. This time he has cut my little finger quite badly and deep, they cut me every time and don’t apologise. Very rough and heavy handed and the drills hurt for some reason? They also end up charging more than that’s on the board.

Left a flyer on my car and every car around my area. See them pile up basically just littering. I wouldn't go here if I was you if they think that's okay.
