The checkout experience could be improved, as the staff member attitude felt abrupt and unwelcoming .Staff Mariam needs to fix her attitude or you need to change your job based on your attitude. You dont deserve to be in customer service job.

Today 20th April 2026 at 12:07:11pm ( I have a receipt ) the cashier by the name Lala ( printed on my receipt ) called me out from the main queue to the perfume isle checkout to serve me there instead in order to releave the main queue where I was initially waiting my turn to check out.

After scanning all my beauty products, she quickly showed me 3 green packs of tissues swiftly saying that those are free of charge in addition to what I've bought. I remember I mentioned to her that "if it is free then okay I will take it, even though I don't need it and have plenty of the same packets of tissues at home".

After arriving home, I checked my receipt as I always do as a habit, and realised she actually charged me for these 3 packs of tissues that I didn't even need to buy - £1.47 ( £0.49 each ) and redeemed 1 pound from my £3 worth of points from my Beauty Card instead, so that I don't notice that she actually charged me for those 3 packs of tissues that I didn't need to buy and that in her words were supposed to be free of charge as a bonus addition to what I've bought! This is called theft.

So your employee by the name Lala ( or whoever was serving me by that store account at the time mentioned earlier at the perfume section ) is officially a thief now, Superdrug Hounslow High Street.

You are very and extremely lucky, Superdrug Hounslow, that I cannot return to the store today and present your stealing and dishonest staff with my checkout receipt and demand you to return my £1:47 for the 3 packs of tissues I didn't want and need that you forced on me and charged me for and also to give me my £1 worth of points back into my Beauty Card because she did not even ask me if I want my beauty card points to be redeemed ( because if she would have asked the answer would have been "No, keep the points on my card" as I wanted to keep saving my beauty card points and not spending it. ).

Unfortunately for you, depending on my mood next week, I may or may not show up with your tissues and with my receipt next week and demand my money back into my beauty card and into my bank card and will return you your 'free of charge' tissues.....but even if I decide to leave it and not take action against your store next week, I will be extremely careful from now on when shopping at your store and from now on will ALWAYS check my receipt BEFORE I leave the store and also, I will always refuse in a now appropriate for this manner anything you promote and force on customers at your checkouts and will always mention this 'Lala' checkout woman who stole from me today - she will always be mentioned by me now at checkout point at your store each time I am offered anything extra at your checkouts be it "free of charge" or half price products.

I had such a great experience at Superdrug thanks to Lala! She approached me and my friend and kindly took us straight to a checkout, which we really appreciated as we’re both students.

Her customer service was absolutely amazing — she was super friendly, kind, and welcoming from the moment she spoke to us. She helped us really quickly and had fantastic knowledge about the products, answering all our questions with confidence and clarity.

It honestly doesn’t surprise me that most of the 5-star reviews mention her — she truly deserves them. She clearly makes such a positive impact on customers. Superdrug is very lucky to have someone like Lala on their team!
