Hi Emma, thank you for taking the time to review. We’d like to clarify a few things about your appointment.

The technique used to remove your previous set — gently lifting softened gel with a cuticle stick after soaking — is a standard, industry-recognised practice taught and used by qualified technicians across the UK. Your previous set had been applied with a hard base gel that doesn’t soak off easily, so a fine e-file bit was used to remove the residue safely. Soaking longer in acetone would have caused more damage and dried out the natural nails, which is why this method is the correct one for this type of product.

The nails were briefly placed under the LED lamp to ensure the nail plate was fully dry. Moisture causes lifting and poor adhesion. It’s a standard prep step and completely safe.

We work in a busy salon and our technicians communicate to ensure every client is looked after. At no point was your service rushed or compromised. On shape and length, we would have happily adjusted had you raised it at the time. Your own photo shows the natural nails clean and undamaged.

The polish was applied by our most experienced technician. We stand by his work and the standards of our salon, which you kindly noted was very clean.
