I booked the Express Hammam for £30. I wasn’t expecting anything luxurious for that price, but I did expect at least a proper hammam-style scrub.

When I arrived, the appointment was already running late and I had to wait about 15 minutes, which I didn’t mind too much. The front of the shop is actually used as a hairdresser, and I was taken to the back to put my belongings in a locker before being directed to the sauna. Normally, a hammam experience takes place in a steam room with wet heat, not a dry sauna, but I was told someone would come get me in 20 minutes so I went along with it.

While I was waiting in the sauna, it became clear that the area was quite exposed and accessible from the main space. Hairdressing clients — including children — were walking around, talking loudly and using their phones, which made the environment feel far from relaxing.

After around 30 minutes in the sauna (it seemed the beautician was attending to other clients), I was taken to a small treatment room. To get there I had to walk through the same open area where hairdressing customers were sitting. Luckily they had just left, but it could easily have been quite awkward.

The treatment itself was not a hammam at all. The room contained a regular massage bed covered with plastic. There was no traditional heated marble slab, no water involved, and I wasn’t even wet during the “scrub”.

Instead of a traditional kessa glove and black soap, the therapist used regular exfoliating gloves with a scrub product. Because there was no water involved and I had just come from the dry sauna, the experience felt very dry, scratchy and uncomfortable, and nothing like a real hammam treatment.

When I spoke with the therapist, she confirmed that they used to have the traditional hammam slab but it is now closed, which explains why the treatment no longer resembles what is advertised. I mentioned that customers should be clearly informed on the website or when booking, as this is misleading.

Afterwards I was shown to a shower near the sauna area which had only a curtain for privacy and could easily be accessed by others walking through the space.

Management eventually agreed to charge me half price instead of £30, but honestly even that felt overpriced for what was provided.

Overall this was misleadingly advertised and not a real hammam experience. The website should be updated and customers properly informed to avoid disappointment.

really disappointed with my experience.

I had just come back from my holidays and felt like I needed a facial, so I booked an appointment. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend that first booking and lost my deposit, which I completely understand and accept.

However, I rebooked for five days later. The appointment was confirmed — except for the time. I specifically requested that day off work to attend. I messaged several times and called multiple times asking them to confirm the time, but I received no response at all.

I ended up wasting my time and taking a day off work for nothing. I then asked for a refund of my second deposit, and the number blocked me. Being blocked by a business number felt extremely unprofessional.

Eventually, they contacted me from a different number and refunded the £10 deposit. However, they have been saying for over a week that they will call me to resolve the situation and apologise properly — and I’m still waiting.

The lack of communication and the way this was handled was very disappointing and unprofessional. I wouldn’t expect this level of service from a business.

Came quite long while ago. But leaving review now to remain anon. Haircut wash and blowdry. The sister was lovely and so was the result of the treatment. However my polite advice is please be reminded people usually come hairdressers to treat themselves, have some down time. So probably not the best idea to have your long intense conversations then. Alot of it was trauma dumping unfortunately. I was looking forwars to feeling revitalised but sadly due to communication I left with a migraine and felt exhausted. Just some constrctive criticism InshaAllah. The place is also very run down sadly. But treatment result was good

I'm a regular customer now. I've had various treatments. My most recent was a deep tissue massage and utra violet sauna.
Staff are always, polite, patient and professional. I would definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed!

The best place to get your hair done in London. The team are fantastic and I've never received so many compliments on my hair. It's the only place I'll go to in London now. I also love that they only use organic products. The quality of my hair has improved significantly over the last two years and I only have Little Jannah salon to thank :)
