I booked my mum for a pedicure and facial threading today at Candy. Lee did a great job on the pedicure and really took the time and effort to exfoliate and tailor the pedicure to her needs. Priya also did a wonderful job with the threading, was super friendly, and made us feel comfortable throughout. Thank you both!

Unprofessional service. Wouldn’t recommend, I made an appointment 2 days in advance and booked with someone I’m happy with, they changed who I am with last minute and said there is nothing they can do they are busy. Wouldn’t recommend the service.

I receive a superb, impeccably professional friendly and accommodating service everytime I visit Candy in Wanstead. Both the lovely Lisa and John have served me and I have all good things to say. First time going to the salon, not very happy with my nails.  I originally wanted dip powder, but was talked out of it, paid more for builder gel and then not even a week later one broke and another was braking, I did go back and get ithem fixed with no extra charge.  However it should never have happened, i have never had this problem before.  Paid more for builder gel, and now another nail is breaking, not worth the money at all.  Can you imagine if it was for my wedding day, very unhappy and disappointed. The nail technicians should know what they are doing!

I cannot recommend Candy in Wanstead enough. I am extremely fussy about where I get my nails done, I like them done to a really high standard & I have found that no where else locally can meet the standards of Candy. I actually don’t live near to the salon, but I’m happy to drive for a while because I’m always happy with the results. The salon is clean and stylish & the range of colours they have for nails is the best! The staff are so friendly, I always feel so welcomed, and enjoy that time to myself every time I go- it’s a lovely treat. The team always offer lovely drinks and biscuits, & if ever I’ve called up the salon they’ve always answered the phone super quickly & remember me which means a lot to me to feel like a valued customer. Also, the salon have loyalty cards which is worth using if you plan to go regularly.

I had a biab overlay done and going in, two of my nails were chipped, and Hannah (the nail technician) not only shaped it beautifully, she also fixed the two chipped nails with a small piece of acryclic and made it look like it never chipped to begin with, The service was great and these are by far the best nails I've ever gotten done. Very professional

Poor experience. Poor customer service and salon not very clean. The tools were clean but generally bit grubby. Loud and not relaxing atmosphere. Pedicure itself was good.
Confusion with booking I made online. I tried to phone and clarify but no answer and even dropped in to clarify what I’d booked and price. Started treatments and half way through second treatment they said it would be £17 extra. Really poor customer service. I did this as a relaxing treat when tired and the whole thing was stressful and upsetting. I’d never have booked what I ended up charged for. Very disappointed. They also request cash or bank transfer at last minute but will accept card payment if no other option. I understand miscommunications can happen when things are very busy and online booking systems aren’t perfect but the way they handled it was very poor.

I recently visited Pemika for a perm, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. As a guy with fairly short hair, I wasn’t sure how well a perm would turn out—but Pemika did an amazing job. She really took the time to understand the look I was going for: something natural with loose curls and waves.

After letting it dry and using some sea salt spray (which she recommended), it came out exactly how I wanted—soft, wavy, and with just the right amount of curl. Even with the shorter length, she made it work perfectly.

If you’re a guy thinking about getting a perm, especially with shorter hair, I’d definitely say go for it. It was totally worth it, and I’d go back to Pemika again without hesitation. Highly recommend!
