Acrylic infills cost £5 more than Chloe Nails which is just two doors down but I had a tight turn around and Galaxy had lots of availability. The salon’s hygiene was poor, there was dust everywhere and even some nail clippings left on the table next to me. Left me feeling uneasy.
Fast forward 10 days later and two of my nails have broken or chipped. I usually keep my nails for 2+ weeks so it’s not from a lack of care on my part but rather poor quality of materials used.

Upon entry they were friendly, I paid for a luxury pedicure, which is £37 and the nail tech took me to the wall of polishes, it having done polish in years I quickly asked I would prefer gel polish, which I was then advised after paying the £37 already that to add gel polish was an extra £10. So that £47 all together. In my mind because I paid for a luxury pedicure I was hoping it would have been worth it.

But it was just a foot mask with hot towel wrapped my leg. And then a hot stone moved up and down 3 times that made it luxury.

I feel as though their booking site should mention what’s polish and what is gel so there’s no confusion nor is there any way a client will feel obligated to carry out their service after they’ve just paid.

Apart from that, like I stated previously the staff were friendly, the salon is clean and they use clean tools on each client.

This salon is very dirty and dusty, and nowhere to wash hands after manicure so leaving covered in dust. The manicurist kept filing my skin causing bleeding on one nail. The finish isn’t great either, the ends don’t look finished at all.

Have visited several times now and each time, the service and finishing has been wonderful! I’ve had different nail technicians every time but they have all delivered fantastic results , in a very friendly manner, with lots of smiles. I had Daisy today and she was efficient, yet meticulous in her work. They are also very happy to accommodate walk-in requests , which is a massive plus for me, as my schedule can be erratic / unpredictable so this serves me perfectly. Defo my permanent go-to salon from now on. Thanks guys.

The best nail salon - really good service and well priced for BIAB and nail art. All the staff are so lovely at Galaxy!
