I’ve been coming to this salon for a few years. Always impressed me with their job, my nail always last 3 weeks; lovely range of colours. Friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended!
Great experience today getting a pedicure & naked manicure. Clean & professional, would recommend.
Lovely experience for my daughter and I. The girls were great and did a fab job.
My go to beauty place in chislehurst area! Always fab service for nails and lashes, easy to book online and everyone so lovely and friendly. Never go anywhere else!
The nails were okay, but the atmosphere is very awkward. The lady was rude, passive aggressive and I couldn't wait to leave. I wouldn't recommend.
I decided to go to shape and polish rather than my usual shops thinking it could become my new regular shop and save me travelling. Was I mistaken! Firstly, when I initially went in to book an appointment I was (I can’t even say greeted)… snarled at! And refused an appointment on the day. So I asked if they had availability for the following day, which was arranged but I should have followed my instincts and not bothered as she was very rude and seemingly uninterested in my custom.
When I did attend my appointment, she asked me what I was there for… Full set as stated at booking!? But I did however ask whether I could also get a pedicure and gel colour on my feet… she replied that she didn’t have time. Disappointing but understandable.
Then she asked me what colour I wanted for my nails. I asked for a very simple Base colour and a white stripe on one finger on each hand. That was received with ‘I don’t have time for that’.Now I’m getting frustrated. I have never been received with this attitude in any nail shop EVER! Even one white stripe is classed as nail art and is charged at a minimum on £5 per nail so it’s extra cash in their pocket so why would they refuse. It would take less than a minute! (Maybe she doubted her skills if the truth be told) so I asked for white tips instead of colour which she bluntly replies‘£10 extra’… That’s fine! I’m really peeved at her attitude by this point and the tension had built in my fingers, I was far from relaxed. So when she began work they were as stiff as a plank and instead of gently bending them or asking to relax she vigorously pulled them toward her and bent them, well this did not make the situation any better.
This was my only opportunity to get my nails done that week and my feet were in desperate need so when she had finished my nails, I asked if she was sure she couldn’t fit me in for a pedicure, she said she had had a cancellation and could fit me in…. Well…… I do a better pedicure myself at home! I wouldn’t even call it a pedicure, a quick dip in the water and a colour polish (which was slightly smudged). Costing an additional £35. No scrub, filing, no nail cutting or buffing. (Complete scam if you’ve never had a proper pedicure.) I even tipped her after my nails thinking she would be extra attentive but she was not. When I left the shop I looked at my nails and they were awful, bulky and uneven and it was the first time in my life I have regretted spending money on my nails. I’m not overly picky or maybe I’ve just been lucky all these years but this is most definitely the worst nail shop I have ever been to. Shop looks nice but don’t expect your nails or mood to be coming out the same! In addition to this, when I went to my other shop to get infills, they took one look at them and suggested that they remove them completely as the work was so shoddy. In this process, the technician discovered the damage that shape and polish had caused my nails, one in particular that had broken down to the skin and was being held on by the acrylic which made my nails bleed on removal. My usual technician was so gentle and apologetic for any pain the removal was causing me and spent extra care doing so.
This place should be shut down before they cause any lasting damage to a customers nails. I cannot stress this enough! Rude, unprofessional and substandard work!
Absolutely love my nails, thank you for fitting me in x
As always a lovely experience so friendly and always attentive. Have been with Shape & Polish for about 2 years now and have no complaints whatsoever.
