Booked online for gel on my hands & a signature pedicure. I have been before and not overall enjoyed the experience but the salon is convenient for me and had plenty of space for a last minute appointment as I’m due my baby in under a week.
I would not recommend this Nail Spa, it is very expensive for what kind of customer care you receive.
Gels on hands are nice, although I did have to ask the lady doing my nails to stop pulling and twisting my fingers so much as she was hurting me (carpal tunnel) to which she seemed unimpressed. She also had her earphones on and clearly seemed to be on FaceTime to someone nearly the whole time.
Again, the pedicure was basic and gel on my toes are ok. However the seating for this is very uncomfortable for a pregnant woman and doesn’t seem worth the high luxury prices I would say. (I have much better customer care for half the price in other salons)
I was happy to pay the price out of convenience this time although knowing I won’t be returning again which I can imagine is a lot of their customer base.
What really annoyed me is that when I paid at the end. When booking online, my booking confirmation showed (I checked once I was back in the car) that I had booked gel hands, signature pedicure AND take off old gels for £87 total and paid a £20 deposit. However, when I got to the counter the lady convinced me that I had not added on the old gel removal therefore the new total was £92. So £72 left to pay after deposit. I questioned this as I was sure I added it on but she confidently said no and checked my booking.
Out of everything, I feel that this was an attempt to pull the wool over my eyes for an extra £5. I wish I had checked my booking confirmation at the desk but just wanted to get out of there. When I checked my booking confirmation once in the car, it was clear as day I had added on the gel removal.
Rude staff, only take cash and then send you on a wild goose chase to an atm that isn't there. Woman at the front said she doesn't care because its not her business!
Aggressive staff members which is such a shame as the outcome I got was beautiful and I love my nails but I was made to feel so uncomfortable and they were talking amongst themselves in Vietnamese about me. Customer service is absolutely appalling. I explained very clearly my situation and that if I needed a full take off and re do I was happy to pay (I went to a salon elsewhere yesterday and was unhappy so decided to try somewhere else today and get them re done as I’m going on a once in a lifetime holiday tomorrow) they said they understood what I said but then acted angry, aggressive and downright rude when I asked for full re do (all she had done at this point was remove the gel from the biab and painted the first nail when I said please can I have a full take off) she stomped about and was raising her voice to her colleagues, not even acknowledging me and then stomps off completely and 3 other staff come and look at my nails - 2 of them seemed understanding and the lady that painted my toes last week when I came in was helpful (she was the reason I decided to come back as I thought she was lovely last week so they all must be nice that work there, how wrong was I!) and the other lady (I think manager) suggested to have take off and then dip powder plus the gel colour I had chosen as that would give the colour I wanted (she was right and my nails look lovely) but then the girl I had do my nails was rude too, they are constantly talking and laughing in Vietnamese and she huffed and puffed at me when I asked for no random bits of glitter to be stuck on my nails (random bits of colour and glitter in what should be a clear dip powder base -
- as I wanted a sheer gel on top of the powder and knew this would ruin my desired look if it had bits of tacky glitter or colour in it) so more huffing and puffing and stomping around to get a clean pot of powder. Bear in mind this is a very expensive salon - £60 just for dip powder so I expect the results to be perfect for that amount of money. I tried to compliment the girl on the shape etc as I do think she did a beautiful job but she just ignored me and didn’t interact - just plain rude. The other 2 ladies there at least spoke to me and gave suggestions and were helpful so I appreciate their advice but overall I was made to feel so unwelcomed and uncomfortable and from all the reviews here I can see so many others have been too. Unfortunately won’t be back regardless of how pretty my nails look. Customer service is so important, it is absolute horrible to make paying customers feels this way.
Absolutely appalling experience. I booked a 3pm appointment and paid a £20 deposit, arrived early, and was then completely ignored by staff. By 3:15pm I still hadn’t been seen, and when I tried to ask for an update, I was repeatedly dismissed and ignored, to the point another customer had to step in and tell them to acknowledge me.
When someone finally bothered to check, I was told to wait even longer, with zero apology or basic courtesy. I explained I had somewhere to be and asked for my £20 deposit back. This was outright refused. I was also denied access to speak to a manager and given no explanation as to why they thought they could keep my money after failing to honour the appointment time.
It took me becoming visibly distressed and repeatedly insisting before they reluctantly handed my money back. The entire situation was embarrassing, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.
I’ve spent hundreds here before for work that is, at best, average for the price but the way customers are treated is shocking. No organisation, no respect, and no accountability. This place clearly does not value its customers. Avoid at all costs.
The salon fitted me in for a full set of acrylics which were done in perfect time for me to get to my hair appointment. Lovely young lady did a great job, I'm very happy so thank you.!!
It’s a real shame because they are really good but just so rude. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back. They really make you feel uncomfortable 😣
The quickest and most disappointing pedicures I’ve ever had. Lasted less than 30 minutes for £55. Uncomfortable chair, uneven toenail lengths and no massage of the feet or legs just 2 minutes of slapping. So disappointed as this was the pedicure I treated myself to for my birthday and before giving birth. Also started cleaning the bowl down before I even had my shoes on to move out the way! Now I’m left debating going elsewhere just for the massage and relaxation and to fix my wonky toenails. No sign to say cash only also. I didn’t say anything to the staff as they looked completed unbothered and probably wouldn’t have cared.
£50 for infills. 1 week later nail snaps in half go back for repair paid another £8 the very next day another nail snaps. Awful service, nail quality terrible. Won’t be returning that’s for sure!!
For this 'artistic' touch, I paid 65£!
What's more the oldest woman from the staff who apparently doesn't have more skills than 5yo, as you can see, couldn't be more rude and verbally aggressive while the manager didn't even react while she was raising her voice or apologised for her like he got used to her bad behaviour.
She still works there with such an attitude and 'talent'.
I will not be coming back.
They don't accept complaints or do refund.
What's more they constantly gossip in their native language (Vietnamese I think) with other staff members about the clients, laughing in their faces while doing their nails.
They don't care that no-one understands them and make everyone uncomfortable.
So forget about relaxing time there.
HMRC should have a closer look at these practices, because why everyone should pay in cash? Hopefully you pay fair share in taxes like everyone else does?!
£40 for gel nails and a manicure? My nails look awful! Seriously the worst experience ever. I got it done yesterday and it's already chipping, even though I wear gloves when I do chores. Never again! You'd think it was a proper nail spa, but it's not.
Excellent work from Hanna
She did exactly what i asked for
Thank you
I’ve had a few manis and pedis here now and I’ve been very pleased with the service and results every time :) I had acrylics today and showed a photo I found online of gold glitter ombre and my nails look even better than the photo :D
