Emily at VK Nails was great! It was the first time I'd been there after moving to the area and she made me feel comfortable and welcome. My nails look great and she was fast and professional. I highly recommend VK Nails.

Booked appointment Saturday 26/07/25 at 9am. Started okay, had biab on hands. Then got passed to a very apparently inexperienced person for toes, who was sweet but not a professional technician. Didn’t remove my previous gel fully, as shown in photos, and the shaping, prep, and application was so amateur I could’ve done a lot better myself. For both, the cost was £80. This is £20 more than where I usually go. Felt so bad for her that I couldn’t bring myself to keep asking her to make it neater, as she had tried so hard. I’d been there so long, I just needed to get out and suffer the results. It’s not nice having to leave negative feedback for a small business, but that staff member shouldn’t be charging for services yet and requires more training. Really disappointed as I was hoping this would be my new salon of choice 😕
Also annoyingly the biab on two of my fingers has started to chip already, just 3 days later 🫠

I've always been very embarrassed around my short nails so decided very recently to start treating myself to get them done. I came here after not liking my experience at two other shops. This shop is lovely, the staff are friendly and many people coming in talk to the staff using their names and asking about their families which was lovely to see. They are priced around average for the area and the staff I've had had all done amazing jobs and been informative regarding future requirements and maintenance, without making any unwanted comments about my current nails. The shop itself appears very clean and well kept. I have not personally had any nail art done but have looked at others sat besides me and the work does look of a good standard. This shop does bookings but also will accept walk-ins if they have time, but it's definitely best to book ahead if possible.

I got my acrylics done 2 weeks ago, after waiting an hour for a pre booked appointment, the customer service was so rude and unwelcoming, the guy doing my nails stopped every 10 minutes to go for a cigarette break, so unprofessional and so overpriced, £45 for acrylics that have fallen off after a week. Will never be coming back here.

Hiya, this is a responce to ur responce, i’m very sorry for any bad news you may have heard however i would just like to add that whilst i was in the salon you never answered a phone call, i watched you leave the shop to have a cigarette and then come back in and not take a phone call. Once again sorry for u for any bad news u have

not very good most of my cuticles were not done properly I also ended up with an infected thumb nail full of puss . £50 for a manicure and pedicure and not a good one I wouldn’t come here again to be honest

Went in and asked how much a certain style would be, the lady on the front desk was just plain rude, the man working on someone told us the price and he was happy to do it,so we ran over the cash point and returned literally 5min later and the man then said sorry we didn't t have any availability. Will be sticking to dover in future
