I recently visited this salon and while getting my nails done, I witnessed a customer being extremely rude to one of the nail technicians over a minor issue with an extension and complaining she was “too slow.” What made me uncomfortable was how the situation was handled afterwards. Instead of supporting the technician or speaking to the customer privately, the worker was corrected publicly in front of everyone while the customer continued being disrespectful.

The staff member looked visibly embarrassed and I honestly felt bad for her. Nobody deserves to be humiliated at work, especially in front of clients. I hope in future the salon supports their employees more when dealing with difficult customers.

Despite this, I was really pleased with my own nails, which were done by a young chap. He did a great job and I was very happy with the result.

First time trying this salon after visiting a few others in Hull and I’m so glad I did! They made me feel really comfortable straight away, and the whole experience was lovely. My nails turned out amazing, definitely my new go-to place!

While the nail technician was friendly and did a good job overall (aside from a couple of slightly careless moments you might expect from a typical nail bar), I do have a few concerns about this place.

It presents itself as being a cut above the rest, so I went in with fairly high expectations. Unfortunately, it felt more like a standard Vietnamese nail bar experience, which is fine if that’s what you’re used to, but not quite what I was anticipating based on the way they market themselves.

I had booked an appointment a few days in advance, but when I arrived, no one was aware of it and I still ended up waiting 15–20 minutes as if I were a walk-in. I also had to repeat three times that I’d booked for toenails, not fingernails, before they stopped trying to see my hands.

On the positive side, I was offered a drink multiple times, and I did enjoy the massage chair, which was a nice touch.

However, I do feel slightly uneasy about businesses that only accept cash with no prior warning and have fully vinyl covered front windows.

Paid 37 pound for a basic french tip when he said shorts nails cost 35 , left with loads of air bubbles in my nails. Not impressed.
