I have always been to HJ which is connected to Jilar which is fantastic!!!! But if you want a more relaxed atmosphere where you are served drinks then this is the place to go. It’s 5* every time I come. .

If you’re unsure where to get your nails done in Hitchin, look no further than Jilar! It looks and feels way nicer than any other salon and the service is also elevated (but you’re not paying more for it) whatever style nails you want it’s never too much, they have an app which makes booking appointments and rescheduling them super easy and everyone is very friendly, chatty and welcoming. It’s the hidden gem of nail bars!

I had never been to the salon before, the receptionist was so rude to me. The nail tec never spoke to me once she made me run my hands under boiling water which I’ve never had to do before, once I got home my nails started to crinkle up and I later found out that the first layer of paint wasn’t dry 😐

I had to go somewhere and pay more money to get the re done because they did such a bad job, I’m really not happy an won’t be going back

I am always nervous about having acrylics taken off but Vicky took her time, was very careful and I had no pain at all. She then put on new extensions and acrylic with great skill. Vicky did an excellent job, doing exactly what I'd asked for. Can I give her six stars?!

I visited Jilar in Hitchin on a whim, after being unable to get into my usual nail salon — a place I’ve been fiercely loyal to for 11 years and genuinely believed no one could ever tear me away from.

How wrong I was…

From the moment I called, the diligence and professionalism of the lady on reception immediately impressed me. When I arrived for my appointment, I was blown away by the décor, the atmosphere, and the overall standards in the salon.

George, on reception (now that I know her name), is beyond knowledgeable, endlessly professional, and quite frankly, she is the glue that keeps the salon standing. I visited once on a day she wasn’t there, and the difference in the running of the salon was more than evident.

If I were hiring for my own business, I would snap up an employee like her in a heartbeat. Her work ethic, energy and presence cannot be underestimated — she makes you feel valued the moment you walk through the door.

Evanna, who is now my new nail technician, is next-level brilliant. Her precision, talent, creativity and overall ability are unmatched by any technician I have had before.

Overall, with the expertise, professionalism and genuinely holistic approach these ladies bring, I can recommend Jilar without hesitation. Safe to say, I won’t be going anywhere else.

Great Thai Yoga massage by Yada! She gave lots of attention to the areas that were troubling me. Also the room was so cosy, I just didn’t want to leave! Thank you, will be back soon! :)
