I really enjoy coming to New York Nails and have been doing so for years, while I am always happy with the service yesterday was above and beyond. Firstly, I came quite late in the evening but I was warmly welcomed. I am very overdue a take off and new set, but due to my own time constraints i had an infill that was very meticulously attended to, the outcome was the rebuild and restructure of my broken nail, removal of lifting and stains with a careful rebalance of the nails and care to my cuticles which were sore due my dry skin from consistent hand washing in my day to day life. Kelly is brilliant, highly skilled and very accommodating to her customers, she even shared some sunflower seeds with me and we had a lovely conversation over them. Extremely great value for the service I received and would recommend! I’ve included pictures of what I asked for, and what my end result was.

The lady who owns the shop is SO rude, and doesn’t speak nicely to customers, as soon as me and my friend walked in to the shop, she didn’t even say hello to us, she just told us to sit in the waiting area, without acknowledging us, then she said “what do u want” we told her what we wanted, and then she said “ok” and that’s it, she was doing somebody else’s nails at the time, but she could’ve been polite as we are paying customers. This was the first time we tried this salon, and the last!
It looked nice from outside, that’s why we thought we would try it, but the people who run it are awful.

They don’t even take card. What shop in 2026 don’t take card?? They should know everyone carries cards on them, not cash anymore, they need to move with the times. Every nail salon I go to take card nowadays.

She was also on her phone most of the time, when doing our nails, it looked like she didn’t want to be there. My friend showed her an inspo picture of nails she wanted and when she asked how much it would cost, the owner mumbled a price, and my friend didn’t hear her, so she asked again nicely and the owner rudely shouted the price.
There’s definitely a language barrier with the staff as other customers couldn’t understand what they were asking, and then they get frustrated with the customer. They need to be more respectful and patient towards their customers otherwise people won’t be coming here, as a lot of people have mentioned similar encounters with the rude staff (especially the female owner of the shop) the reviews speak for themselves!

The owner was speaking to her staff in her own language the whole time, which is very unprofessional and rude! They make u feel really uncomfortable, as you know they’re talking about you, especially when the other member of staff next to her would occasionally look over at me and my friend every time the owner said something in her language.
Don’t waste your time and hard earned money coming here, unless you want to be treated badly, and have arrogant staff speak about you.
Me and my friend won’t be returning ever again. There’s a few nail salons in Slough queensmere and they are MUCH better and friendlier, I’ve never had any problems with them. I’ve been reading all the bad reviews people have posted about this place, and surely we can’t all be wrong?!
