I am never the person to write reviews like this, but this time is the exception. I had been into The Wax Bar once before as a walk in and had a great experience. The woman was attentive, kind and my brows looked great. I decided to go back today and was seen by Simi. I had shared with her that I wanted to keep my brows, just have them shaped up a bit. At first glance in the shop, my brows looked ok. She had definitely taken off more than I had asked for, but it was a little too late to change that. Upon getting home and inspecting them more closely, I noticed that my right brow had been trimmed down lower than my left (picture below). I get married next week and had shared that with Simi. I’ve never had something like this happen before so I was really disappointed, especially right before such a big day. I’m just going to have to fill in the missing spot. I’m not sure if I’ll go back, but I would for sure stay away from booking with Simi.

Arrived for my appointment and explained what I wanted with the waxing. Staff person took 3 minutes and when I asked if she'd checked just under my chin. She insisted she had. (I got back to the hotel to see a very obvious black hair and a few others.) When I went to pay there was no phone reception or internet. I don't carry cash. I was told to find an ATM but I choose not to use them while travelling. The 3 staff kept asking me to try options but were reluctant to accept my word that I'd pay by EFT back at the hotel. My booking at the (luxury) hotel was photographed. Eventually, I just left and paid the "rip-off" amount. 23 pounds for a bad 3 minute job. When I did pay, my bank advised that the name given to me for the bank account was not correct, so I had to delete the individual's name and leave just the company name, so the payment could go through. Had I been told beforehand that I had to pay cash, I would have left.

Was late 8 minutes for my wax appointment because I work in NHS and had an emergency call right before the end of my shift. Staff never took me and had to cancel the appointment entirely. Very rude. What do you mean I pay the deposit and you can’t take me if I’m late? Ridiculous

I've been a regular customer at Wax Bar for almost a year now, especially for my nails. I've always appreciated how my nails are done exactly the way I like them. From my experience, the staff has been friendly, and I make it a point to share my preferences so they can work it out the right way. Thank you for all your hard work!

Simply place to get your wax done in a tiny little room. Not overly friendly staff. Missed some hair on a Bikni wax. To late to say anything as I was dressed and the person had moved on.
