I have been going to Emily's pretty much since they opened. I love coming to see the guys and I always love my nails! The guys do an amazing job and I always have a good laugh with them. They are very experienced and welcoming and Lee always does the best designs!! I am not local so I have to travel and it is definitely worth it.

Every time she goes here she comes back over joyed with the result, a little slice of happiness in an otherwise busy and stressful life. I’ve been coming to Emily Nails & Spa for over a year now and I genuinely wouldn’t go anywhere else in Leighton Buzzard. Whenever I have an appointment, the service is professional, calm, and the results are always long-lasting.
I’ve seen a few newer faces lately, but Lee and Emily have always ensured my nails are done to an incredible standard. They really take the time to prep the nails properly—my cuticles always look great and I’ve never had an issue with lifting or damage. It’s a welcoming salon, and they always make sure you’re 100% happy with the shape and color before you leave you just need to tell them . Love my nails not great at taken photos but they great

My old review: greatest nail salon i’ve been to ! i’ve never seen someone have so much experience before, bit on the pricier end but definitely worth it

I recommended this nail salon to my mum as it once offered premium service for a reasonable price. I hadn’t gone since my nail tech left and was replaced by an older chap. He only did an infill and a removal for me, both routine appointments I would do. During my infill he had to ask questions to the technician who knows what he’s doing. That is not something you want to see from someone who is supposed to have gone through hours and hours of training to get a certificate. The fill was good, but now I’m guessing it was only because I was still wearing a quality set.

When my mum said that she had an important work thing and wanted to look nice but her usual nail tech was away, I immediately recommended this place. I now regret this decision. Her nails weren’t prepped properly, her cuticles were left completely untouched, no trimming, not even having been pushed back. The same man who was still asking questions when he did my nails in May ‘25 was now teaching another guy. The student trimmed my mum’s nails and then watched the set being done for the rest of the appointment. The teacher then trimmed my mum’s nails further down, causing her pain.

She got nail extensions, which weren’t done the usual way of gluing tips on and then putting an acrylic putty on top. Instead, she got dip powder, a very thin layer of the acrylic powder was sprinkled on top of gel base coat. This should never be done on glued tips as it doesn’t provide the necessary support. She said it felt like she could grab the nail tip and peel it off like a bandaid if she tried.

I was appalled when she sent me photos of her nails. Me and my mum are both people who have high standards for hands, as it’s the very first thing people pay attention to about you right after your face. Her nails weren’t up to standard, not even for a friend who is still learning to do nails and did them on you for practice. I asked my mum to go back and ask for a removal and a refund, but she was too scared to even go back in fear of the removal not being done properly. She was ready to go to a different place, lose her £45 !! that she spent on that horrid set, pay for a removal and then a new set again just so she wouldn’t have to come back, but I, thankfully, managed to convince her.

She got her nails taken off and they looked fine until around 16h later, when they started turning purple. The only way I could convince her to get them taken off was when I said that she’s at risk of getting a fungus or an infection if she does so much as wash her hands just one time. In hindsight, she is very glad to have gotten them removed.

Now, for her work meetings, she will just have to paint them and hope her fingernails don’t start falling off due to the negligence of a clearly unqualified nail “technician”. There is a reason why this is such a regulated field ! People have lost fingers, or even entire hands, due to the people like the one who did my mum’s nails.

What I will say, is that the owner is a very skilled technician, and that there was no issue with getting her money back and the removal was performed by someone else, and they were very thorough.

I’d strictly avoid this place until they fire the two unqualified “technicians”. The risk isn’t just wasting your money, but getting serious health problems. An unqualified man should never, ever, be teaching another unqualified person.

The photos show my nails a year ago, done by a technician who has since left, a photo of what my mum showed to the technician, vs what she got. £45 it cost, and the man who did her set didn’t want to give her her change of £5 back, as if expecting a tip. She had to yank it out of his hand.

This was my first time trying this salon and I will definitely be coming back!

If you’re a perfectionist with your nails as much as I am, this is your salon. I made an appointment and didn’t have to wait at all. They were so kind and he kept checking throughout if I was happy with the shape, colour etc. There’s such a good selection of colours and different designs/trends. He shaped my nails so nicely and the quality of work is excellent, I cannot see any flaws at all! The salon is clean and well maintained. Great pricing for the work they do. Literally cannot say anything negative!

Best nail bar in Bedfordshire. Lee Emily and the guys are just so lovely and sweet. I’ll always leave the salon happy and they always want to make sure of it! I’ve even popped back once with some chips from my job and they fixed it there and then for free.
Today’s nails were my favourite, love my matching toes! Always look forward to go back xx
