I paid for an expensive luxury manicure with regular polish, my nails were not cleaned, cuticles weren’t cut, and my nail polish completely bubbled and smudged. The person doing my nails felt bad and tried to redo it but rushed and it all just bubbled again and smudged as soon as I left. My mom came with me and got gel and within a week an entire gel nail peeled off. The only positive thing I have to say is the customer service gave me a full voucher for a new treatment, but I almost don’t want to go back

I went in for gel removal and an express manicure, and unfortunately had a very poor experience.

Within the first few minutes, the manicurist used an electric file on the skin above my nail, which caused it to bleed. She asked if I wanted anything applied to the wound, but with nail dust still on it, I had to suggest that it should first be disinfected.

She then proceeded to remove the gel from my remaining nails in a way that was extremely painful. It became clear that she was not only removing the gel, but also filing into my natural nail. This has left visible damage, including crevices in the nail plate, and the affected areas are still painful three days later.

Unsafe and unprofessional - I would not recommend this place.

Cerys was fab, I had to be out at a certain time for an event and she did a great job at doing my nails and accommodating my time crunch.

I was happy to see there was a new place to get a spa pedicure in a facility that seems to prioritise cleanliness. Olha was my nail tech and she was great - efficient and welcoming. The spa was very clean and seemed to exceptional great hygiene practices. I have already booked future appointments.

I recently visited Townhouse Cambridge and left feeling quite disappointed. I had mistakenly noted the wrong starting time for my appointment, but I arrived perfectly on time for what I genuinely believed was the correct time. Because of that misunderstanding, I only received two out of the three treatments I had booked.

While the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were friendly, I was still charged the full price for the appointment, even though I didn’t receive the complete service. I understand that timing is important, but given the honest mix-up, I had hoped for a bit more flexibility or understanding.

The treatments I did receive were good, but it was discouraging to pay in full for a service that wasn’t fully delivered. With clearer communication or a more accommodating approach, I think the experience could have been much more positive.
