My experience here was only ok. I only got offered drinks towards the end of my treatment and the other person in my booking didn't get offered anything at all. I had a pedicure and I don't feel like it was really worth the price. My skin still feels rough, there was no cuticle work, exfoliation or moisturising as part of it, just felt very minimal and rushed. I've had pedicures at the same price in central London that do a lot more as part of the treatment. At the end my therapist then asked me to review, and I felt pressured to give 5* as she was standing right there. I would say the quality of treatments and service at Townhouse doesn't match up to the high end aesthetic they're trying to market, I've tried a few different branches now and think this will be my last time

I’ve now had two gel manicures, one pedicure, and one removal here and none of them were great - especially not for the price.

Both manicures started lifting after just a day (not a problem I’ve ever had with gel before) and the finishes were very uneven with a lot of pooling at the sides and the cuticles.

I’ve had both a luxury manicure and an express. The luxury was quite painful with a lot of bleeding at my cuticles (again, not a problem I’ve ever had before). The express was really patchy and the technician was so close to my skin with the nail clippers that she was pinching it each time and I had to ask her to stop and use the file - which meant my nails were a lot longer than I wanted them to be, but at least I stopped her before she fully cut my finger off.

The pedicure was fine, but very average at best. My nails were shaped in a really uneven way and the level of detail on the finish isn’t great:

The worst bit was the removal before the second gel manicure. I requested soak off because I didn’t want to damage my nails. The technician left the foils on for only a minute or two and then used the electric file and hacked at the polish with a metal scraper. My nails are now shredded and rough as a consequence and the whole experience was so painful and uncomfortable. I kept asking her to be more gentle but she wouldn’t change her method.

It’s very much a conveyor belt type service with little care taken to give a good experience. Really not worth the price, unfortunately.

Also, it’s absolutely freezing in there and the waiting area stinks of cigarette smoke from people who sit on the bench outside and smoke.

I got a gel pedicure here and the lovely woman who did mine was Isha. I’ve never gotten a pedicure before so I was very new to the experience but she was very patient and kind. She did a wonderful job on the pedicure and she was very sweet and welcoming. Definitely recommend! :)
