I’ve been coming to this salon for years—long before the new owners took over—and I never had a single issue when Tommy was running the place. Honestly, this experience has completely put me off coming back.
To cut a long story short, I usually get acrylic nails but decided to try BIAB this time. I went in, and the tall, skinny guy with short hair said he could do it. He added tips for length, which I’ve never had done with BIAB before—but I trusted him. At first, the nails looked fine, but within 3 to 6 days, one nail literally broke off, leaving the extension behind, and the rest started lifting and separating from the BIAB. It looked awful, and worse, dirt and food were getting trapped underneath.
Because I work nights, I went back on day 7. The older guy there didn’t seem to understand what I was explaining, so the tall guy who originally did my nails came out. I calmly explained that I paid £33 for nails that didn’t even last a week and politely asked for a full removal and redo (either BIAB done properly or acrylic), or a refund. Instead of helping, they just kept going back and forth, refusing every reasonable request I made—as a regular customer, I found that really disappointing.
I then asked to speak to the manager/owner and was told NO and they refused to contact her. I was ready to go and find her myself, but instead I was offered a 20% discount to fix the nails or redo them in acrylic—which honestly felt like a joke considering the situation.
I said I just wanted them removed and a refund because I didn’t want to be back again next week with the same problem. I’ve never complained before, and they know I’m a regular—I even get my toes done there.
Then it got worse. The tall guy offered to do acrylic, but when he stepped out, the other guy started putting gel on my nails instead. When I questioned it, he became rude and dismissive, just saying “NO, just gel.” Communication was difficult, and the attitude didn’t help at all. When the tall guy came back, he pushed for a gel polish instead, saying it would last 4–5 weeks and that we could do acrylic later. By that point, I was exhausted from arguing and just gave in.
Now I’ve got very short gel nails that I didn’t even want, and I’m just hoping they last at least 3 weeks. Otherwise, I’ll definitely be taking my money elsewhere.
I’ve never left a negative review for a nail salon before, but this was genuinely the worst experience I’ve had. £33 completely wasted. Very disappointed.

I Always have a lovely experience at Creative Nails. I had my nails done by Linh and they are perfect. Her attention to detail is amazing. My nails always look flawless and last very well without any lifting or chipping.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality work.
