Wanted to try this place and im so happy with the quality and colour.
The only thing id suggest is booking beforehand rather than walk in as I had to wait quite a while (just over a hour) with only 2 people working, but it was also a Saturday so expected to be busy.
Although still apologetic and a free drinks whilst I waited was nice. These are my natural nail and just had gel paint.

i feel extremely bad for leaving a review like this but the service was just disappointing. when they first opened up, i was excited to give them a shot and really wanted them to become my go to. i work 9-5 in cardiff so getting an appointment after work is difficult, and they are only open on saturdays for the weekend.

my first time going in, i made an appointment for 9am. i do like detailed sets so i sent a picture of my inspo just to make sure it was something they could do, etc. on the day of the appointment, they did take me before the two walk ins before me at my scheduled time. however, as the time went on and people started walking in to get their nails done, i noticed they started to rush doing my set. i thought this was just a one off and didn’t think much of it. even though you could tell the nails were a bit rushed, they do take good care of your nails and the staff are friendly so i tipped them and made another appointment whilst brushing this aside.

i made an appointment for today around a week or two ago. i asked for a 9am slot and again sent a picture of my inspo. they asked me if i could come in at 4:30pm instead, so they would have time to do my set without the morning rush. i thought this was fine and very thoughtful of them. i walk in five minutes before my appointment and let them know i was booked in. there was someone getting their nails done before me who had just finished up, so i had expected to be seated next. however, they instead sat another lady before me who was a walk in. i was told to wait a bit longer. 30 mins had passed and i asked if i can expect to be seated soon, and they simply told me something along the lines of “it’s the weekend so we are busy with walk ins, you won’t have to wait much longer” with this i just got up and left.

really really disappointed with the service provided here. i understand it’s a weekend and it gets busy, but that is why i made an appointment. there is no point in offering these if walk ins get prioritised anyway.

upset with this outcome especially because the salon is so lovely and clean, and the staff are genuinely nice people. this salon is local to me and i’m gutted it went this way but i will just be returning to my old salon in cardiff.

MY granddaughter and I had our nails done at Lyn’s Nails & Spa in Pontypridd—such a lovely experience.
Clean, welcoming salon, with drinks offered and little treats that kept my grandson happy 😄
I had Tom and my granddaughter had Lyn—both were brilliant. Our nails look beautiful and you can tell they really care about their work.
Great value for money too.
Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back 👌💅✨
