I’ve been getting my nails done at Nel’s Nails since they opened and I won’t go anywhere else now! There’s a lovely relaxing atmosphere in there and all of the staff are really kind and friendly. I’ve had both acrylic and biab and each time the service and quality has been flawless. I recommend Nel’s Nails to all my friends and family, and would recommend it to everyone else too. They did a beautiful set of nails for my friend’s wedding, and they offer a range of other services too like pedicures and foot massages. I love getting my nails done at Nel’s Nails and recommend them 100% to anyone looking for beautiful nails.

I’ve been to Nel’s Nails a few times and unfortunately my experience has been quite inconsistent. It really seems to depend on which nail technician you get as to the quality of the service.

Another issue is with appointments. I’ve always booked in advance, yet on more than one occasion I’ve arrived on time and still had to wait because they were taking walk-ins. If you’re going to accept walk-ins that’s absolutely fine, but appointments should still be prioritised and a technician should be available for booked clients.

The last time I visited I had to wait over 20 minutes despite having an appointment. When I was finally seen, the manicure felt rushed. I had booked a manicure with gel polish, but they didn’t do any cuticle work at all — they simply removed my existing gel and applied new gel polish. Despite the reduced service, I was still charged the full price.

Because of the inconsistency and the lack of attention to appointments, I won’t be returning.

I had a pedicure with a younger girl at this salon and I can tell you now she was gentle and I haven't felt relaxed like this in a very long time. The rest of the busy staff where very welcoming and attentive also.

I have been twice to have gel nails with chrome. The first time I had a young chap do my nails who took care and attention to them and did a fantastic job. Last weekend I had another appointment booked at 10 am. I sat waiting till 10:15 am until the staff even turned up. I was sat down to have my nails done at 10:20 am. The lady asked what I would like then proceeded to take my old gel off with a drill which really hurts and my nails felt really thin. She then put acetone on to soak the rest of the gel off and Proceeded to start doing Another ladies Nails, who was sat next to me. After quite a long time, my fingers started tingling, so I asked her to come and take the acetone off. She then did my gel colour with chrome she paid, hardly any attention to my cuticles, which look really rough. The attention to detail Was not good at all, and I came away, feeling fairly unhappy at the service and the finish of my nails I will not be back

The place has a lovely ambience and was an overly relaxing place to be! The staff were lovely and attended well to what I requested. I got a pedicure and they were gentle and precise and the overall service was great. I would definitely recommend!
