Last week, I called Merthyr Beauty Box and booked an appointment for eyebrow threading. When I arrived after 15 mins drive, they told me the person who does it wasn’t in and asked me to reschedule for Tuesday or Friday. Since I work on Tuesdays, I told them I could come on Friday. The staff member then asked for my name, wrote something down, and gave me an appointment time of 11:30.
On Friday, I called to confirm whether the person was in. They asked for my name again and again and told me my appointment was actually at 10:00 AM—by then as it was already nearly 10:00. They then asked me to reschedule for the next day. As I couldn’t make it, they offered me an appointment for the following Tuesday instead.

I completely understand that things can get busy, but I’d kindly suggest ensuring appointments are logged and recorded accurately. It would really help avoid confusion and make the experience smoother for customers in the future.

Even though I am classed as elderly these Days (well I will be 70 this year ) I had my very first facial treatment, having been given a voucher by a lovely friend. It was absolutely superb , and will now make it a regular feature in the future, thank you so much Ladies, you are both very talented, will return

I have been going to beauty box for 15 yrs+ and I can honestly say that I have always been treated in such a professional and welcoming manner. I have had many treatments there which include, eyebrow waxing, eyebrow tint, Russian eyelashes and infills every 2 weeks, facials, back massages, gel nails, piercings etc and have always genuinely been 100% satisfied with their service. I mainly have Abbi to do my treatments but all of the other staff members are nothing but welcoming, friendly and helpful, I have always felt comfortable at beauty box and will continue to go there as I'm happy with every single procedure that I have had done. I would and have highly recommended beauty box to all friends and family x

Booked an appointment but still had to wait 45 minutes in the shop while people with walks in was going into have treatment before me. Made sure i booked as I had to bring my autistic child with me due to half term but they didn’t care he had to wait there too. Not once was I told that I’d be waiting for so long. I turned up on time for my appointment and the staff there was giggling to each other about me having to wait. The most professional person in the salon was the little girl who was there.
I have been going here for about 5/6 years, even after I moved further away I still drove 45 minutes to go here but after this experience I’ll be finding somewhere else to go.

I prefer having my eyebrows threaded to waxed and it's quite hard to find locally so I'm absolutely chuffed to not only find it in Merthyr high street but also that the threading and tint is probably the best I've had! Nice bright and airy salon, private room for the threading. Professional, friendly staff who strongly advised me on having a tint patch test the day before ( I've never had a reaction before but good that the salon are strict on putting your safety first) and a good price. What more could you want! Highly recommend, will definitely be returning and will be looking to have nails and other treatments done there too.
