I used to go to this salon regularly but in the end had to stop because I was left feeling like I was inconveniencing them instead of having a nice experience. They are very rough and bend and twist fingers painfully, then slap your hands out of the way when they are done with each finger. I continued to go as I didn’t know any better having never been to a good salon before. They make you feel like they are doing you a huge favour and whatever design you ask for is sighed and complained at in their language at as if it’s an unreasonable request. Having your nails done should be a pleasant relaxing experience of self care, and I would always leave this salon feeling terrible about myself. I’ve been going instead to Harper nails in Cheadle and the service there is amazing! A true pampering experience with the most lovely staff and excellent quality nails and designs. Well worth spending a bit more for the level of service provided. Sadly it looks like I’m not the only person who has negative opinions of luxury nails. It’s taken me a long time to write this review, but I still think about how horrible the experience of having nails done there was two years later! Come on luxury nails, it costs nothing to be kind and gentle and not gossip about your customers!
Imagine paying a lot of money andgot service with very rude people. It was the worst experience of my life. I almost cried.
WORST NAIL SALON IN STOCKPORT 🍅
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the treatment I have received at your salon. I have been a loyal customer for over a year and a half, primarily because of your convenient location across from my apartment. Despite this, my experiences have consistently left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
From my very first visit, I noticed a clear difference in how I was treated compared to other customers. I was never greeted warmly, often received unpleasant stares, and my hands were handled as though I were a practice model rather than a paying client. Meanwhile, other customers seemed to be treated with kindness and care. Unfortunately, this pattern has persisted every time I visited.
I would like to be clear that I have always found the owner to be lovely and professional. Unfortunately, she is rarely present — if she were, I would have requested her personally to do my nails. The main issues I have experienced have come from the younger female staff member. As for the male staff member, I would prefer not to make direct comments as I am a woman and he is a man, but I will address his behaviour if necessary.
On my most recent visit, when I politely explained that she was being a bit rough with me and that everyone is going through things — especially with what is going on in the world — I was already having a bad day and began to cry. Instead of showing empathy, she told me I was “being emotional” and that I was “scaring” her. I cannot understand how I could be scaring her while she was the one physically hurting me.
To make matters worse, despite me explaining that I urgently needed my nails done for an upcoming wedding, she decided she was “too scared” to continue and refused to finish my service. I was left embarrassed, upset, and with unfinished nails. Thankfully, I found another salon, Myle Nails, who treated me with kindness, fixed my nails perfectly, and left them looking beautiful.
As a Black woman, it can be extremely difficult to stand up for myself in situations like this, as I am often unfairly labelled “aggressive” for simply asserting my concerns. That is exactly how I was made to feel — as though my presence and my words were something to be feared — simply for defending myself and asking to be treated with care.
After 18 months of giving your business my time and money, this experience has convinced me that I can no longer return. I hope you take the time to reflect on how you treat your Black customers, acknowledge the harm caused, and take real steps to ensure that no one else is made to feel the way I have.
i love this nail shop. I always come here to get my nails done and they last up to 7 weeks. The staff are so nice and they have conversation with you which other salons don’t really do. They are welcoming and do a really good job with your nails. i recommend
I had some rather thick ombre acrylics applied elsewhere and these needed soaking a filing repeatedly. Luxury nails did a great job of getting me back to more natural looking nails. I think I'll be back, fairly standard prices but quality work and clearly surprised at the poor standard of my previous nails.
I went in as a one off they were extremely rude, they made me feel so uncomfortable I couldn’t choose my colour or shape I was told “this is good for you”. I have never experienced this elsewhere and my nails are awful.
Very rude staff in general.
They are super aggressive when doing your nails, I was left with a bleeding finger and the whole visit felt rushed, nails weren’t great either.
Would definitely avoid - look at facebook reviews
Really bad service, the staff was so rude and they treated like i getting the service for free.
Completely west of money she didn’t even let me choose the base colour and did used any of them which is dose not Mach with my natural nails, when I tell her to remove the dead skin she just touch in each and say “all done my dear “ I was disappointed so just left.
Probably one of the worse set of acrylics I’ve had unfortunately. Completely different lengths on each hand and I asked for natural and they are really long , funny shaped and one nail looks like a mutant claw as she’s not filed it down it’s all thick and lumpy, embarassed to go out in them- I used this place as a one off and won’t be goinf back. The lady also kept telling me to bend my finger which is fine but kept telling me not to touch my face which I found strange even when I was turning my AirPods up or had an itch - all around just a really bad experience
Had been going there for almost a year. Always had a good job done. But this only time was enough to make me find another place to go. In the end of my appointment the girl who was doing my nails was so rude to me that I got embarrassed. I get that English is their second language but there are many ways to talk to a customer. Will not be back.
Been coming here for a while but the past few times a have been disappointing. The younger girl is SO rude. No patience and just leaves when she’s finished your nails. Wont be going back anymore
