Booked my appointment for 10am, I arrived it 09:50 to see the shutters down. I waited until after 10am and still the shutters didn't open and my appointment didn't go ahead. I had no communication that the appointment wasn't going ahead, terrible service. Do not recommend. I booked through treatwell but chose not to pre pay thankfully.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I booked my eyelash appointment and rang the week before to confirm it. Turned up to a closed shop with the shutters down and no answer when I rang the mobile. I messaged several times with no reply. They took my money as I prepaid on the Treatwell app and I haven’t had it back. Utter lack of professionalism. Honestly an absolute joke.

Do not use this salon. Made an appointment, turned up to a closed shop. No useful explanation. When I eventually got hold of someone, "they only open Friday amd Saturday at the moment", but booked me in for a Thursday only the week before.
Had to leave a star as it won't allow zero stars.

Well can't give them any stars as they were closed when I arrived for my 10.30am appointment. So much for them being open 7days a week. Needless to say I won't bother trying them again.

Fantastic little salon that I stumbled upon! I came here originally to get my eyebrows threaded and the lady who did them was so meticulous and precise I was really impressed. She really took the time to make sure they looked even and honestly it's the best they've ever looked!
So I came back and had a paraffin wax treatment and gel nails, another lady did my nails but again she was very focused on ensuring they were perfect and all for a very good price. Such a lovely family who own the business, I'll definitely be back and recommend it to all my friends. Thank you!

i had my eyebrows threaded and it was absolutely amazing my eyebrows looked so good afterwards and the staff were very kind. the salon was lovely couldn’t recommended more

Staff are really lovely, I was given a drink, I had my hair washed in the massage chair which was very relaxing. We discussed what I wanted done and the stylist shaved the right hand side, added layers and trimmed the rest or my hair. I love it so much! Never felt like myself until now! Thanks so much to all!

I called and waited 2 days to be called back on doing so they stated they would call me back in 10 minutes, several days later I'm still waiting. Have sent texts and WhatsApp messages and still no response.

Very unprofessional and lack of communication. I booked an appointment here when the restrictions for hairdressers were lifted in mid-April. My usual salon was booked up, so i thought I would try J&H.
Upon my arrival, the staff were sat around in the salon chairs chatting and all stared at me when I walked into the salon - which I find that anyone would find intimidating. A young girl signed me in and told me I could get a free hair wash with my dry cut for the price of £10.

A hairdresser took me to the sinks where she washed my hair. However, the water was cold and she didn't ask me if the temperature was ok. She got the water dripping into my eyes. Also the shampoo used was the cheap stuff you get in a supermarket. This hairdresser did not speak english, so it was hard for me to communicate anything.

When it came to cutting my hair, she put my hair into a centre parting, even though I asked for a side parting. I also asked if she could cut my side fringe, but because she couldn't understand, she had to get the young lady at reception to translate. When I said fringe, the hairdresser immediately combed the front of my hair to cut a block fringe. I quickly stepped in and said that this wasn't the type of fringe I asked for. I felt on edge the whole time and I ended up with a very uneven cut. She also thinned my hair out without asking me!

My hair was blowdried and styled in an obscure way. She didn't use any heat protectant and then styled the ends with VASELINE. Yes! that's right, VASELINE! Whilst this was all taking place, the rest of the staff were sitting in the salon waiting area chatting about their personal lives which I did not need to know about.

When it came to paying, I was charged £18 even though I was told £10. I argued this and they said because I had my hair washed it costed more, even though I asked at the beginning! Also, on Treatwell, it says that they accept card, however, this wasn't the case. I had to go to a cash point to draw money out.

Half an hour later when I got home, they had text me saying that they would refund me the difference. I went back to the salon later that afternoon, and was again greeted by lots of staring faces. This time there was a different lady at reception. When I showed her the text saying I could have my money, she went to get the original young lady who served me in the morning.

However, she was upstairs and I had to wait for her to come down and give me my money. Even though there were 4 staff members standing around doing nothing, they could have easily given me the money instead of me having to wait 20 minutes for the girl to come downstairs!! My partner was with me this time and we were sat in the waiting area and we felt very uncomfortable with the staff.

I contacted the salon after to let them know how disappointed I was with my experience and they ignored my message. I ended up having to go to another salon to get my hair fixed.

All in all, if you would like an uneven hair cut, vaseline in your hair, a cold hair wash, water in your eyes and to be started at uncomfortably, this is your place to go to!!
