Google “Terrible service. A nail broke only two days after the treatment. I came in for a repair and waited in the shop for over 3 hours for nothing. In the end, they refused to fix it or take responsibility. Very disrespectful and unprofessional attitude. I do not recommend this place.”

We are sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience. However, we would like to respectfully clarify the situation.
Prior to your visit, we clearly explained over the phone that the salon was fully booked until 5pm and that there would be a waiting time should you still wish to come in. The choice to visit and wait at the salon was entirely yours. For accuracy, the total time spent in the salon was just over one hour, not three hours as stated in your review.
Following an assessment, we found that the nail itself was not broken or damaged. You requested a full removal and reapplication with acrylic on a very weak natural toenail. As a professional salon, we have a duty of care to prioritise the health and condition of our clients’ natural nails. For this reason, we advised against proceeding unless a consent form accepting responsibility for potential damage was signed.
As you were not comfortable proceeding under those circumstances, you requested a £5 refund instead, which was provided immediately.
We always strive to offer honest advice, professional service, and treatments that are in the best interest of our clients, even when that means declining a procedure we do not believe is suitable or safe.

Google Absolutely loved my experience here. They take so much care not just with how your nails look, but with the health of your natural nails too. Everything was super clean, fast and efficient, but I never felt rushed at all. The nail art was really good and done with a lot of attention to detail.

Google Been coming to May Nails for a while now for BIAB and gel pedicures and can hands down say they are the best in the area by a mile. So thorough, caring & attentive, and my nails always last well over a month if I need to stretch them!
