I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this time I have to.

The hairdresser at this place was simply terrible. I came in for highlight specifically asking for highlights and a few lowlights, but ended up with brown hair and ginger roots. From 2:00 PM until 6:30 PM, she tried to fix it without any success.

She even asked me which numbers to mix for the colors and showed me a mirror while my head was in the sink so I could tell her if the color looked right. I explained that I’m not a chemist and reminded her that she is the professional.

I cried three times, and she remained indifferent and unresponsive. I left with wet hair and damaged results.

The manager asked to speak with me on the phone and suggested I come back another day to see a different stylist. Needless to say, I will never set foot in this place again.

I strongly recommend staying away from this salon. A horrible experience.

Highly highly recommend going to Rutva for nails (or any service!) at Elm’s Leaf Beauty. She is so caring and kind with her clients and extremely understanding and knowledgeable of the wants of the client and takes her time to make them happen. She is truly the best and I cannot recommend her enough!

I have been a regular customer at this salon and have always appreciated the work of the team. Most of the staff are polite and professional.

However, my recent experience was extremely disappointing due to the behaviour of one specific staff member working at the cashier. The situation was handled in a very unprofessional manner and caused me significant embarrassment in front of other customers during a busy time.

From the beginning, a price of £35 was agreed. Suddenly, I was told the price had changed to £55 due to “hair length,” without any proper assessment and without prior notice. This was discussed publicly, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.

The issue was not simply the price increase — businesses have the right to adjust their pricing. The issue was the lack of communication and the disrespectful way it was handled.

Unfortunately, because of the behaviour of this one staff member, I will not be returning to this salon again. My daughter and I used to enjoy coming here, which makes this even more disappointing.

I hope management takes this feedback seriously so that other loyal clients do not have a similar experience.

I recommend this nail place to everyone. They work very meticulously and pay great attention to detail. The staff is extremely friendly, and even though it was my first time here, I’m very satisfied with the service. Rutva did my nails and they turned out extremely clean and beautiful.
