Had my hair highlighted and restyled by Sev today. Bearing in mind I'm always very apprehensive about going to the hairdressers as I always seem to not get what I want. Sev was amazing, she made me feel at ease straight away. She went above and beyond to give my hair the treatment and style it needed. She explained everything to me. I honestly couldn't believe the amazing finish, I'm over the moon with it. Thank you Sev thoroughly recommend you.

I booked online, 70.44 when you select 3-6 week block bleach, 88 when you finalise the booking. No biggie, at least I know before I go.

This is my first time ever entering, important as no patch test....

My hair is brunette, but not dark and the roots were virgin, lengths old money blonde (iykyk) which I typically do myself. I'm trying to recover from a long term illness, and didn't have the energy to do the root regrowth, I thought I'd treat myself to a professional and eliminate the tricky overlap situation (spoiler......)

Bear in mind regrowth is at least 2.5 inches at front... more in back.... they apply the bleach (which apparently doesn't need to be measured for the ratios??) AT THE ROOT....

I'm trying to diplomatically say, when I do it at home I do the midst first because scalp heat makes it process faster..... and she asks if I would on this length of regrowth at home.. I make a lame joke about yes, because Brad Mondo told me to... she doesn't know who that is... gulp.

She overlaps the bleach on my already bleached hair. A lot. :-(

The lady is new and the guy work there have to call the owner, a lot. Where is this, where is that, what can I put on this etc...

Wash off... roots bright yellow, we can work with that... mids, not even bright orange yet. :-( Can't tone because no patch test, but it would have to be so dark if we did.

Second round of bleach slapped on in less than 5 mins for whole head... even more overlap, my poor ends. Not particularly surprisingly it doesn't lift much more, you just heavy duty conditioned it. I leave with bright yellow roots, a mixture of light and dark orange mids and white ends...

Toned it myself, darker than I wanted, but hey ho.

To note:
1) The lady doing my hair was brand new
2) The guy working there really tried to help and suggested coming back in
They were both genuinely nice, but I'm paying for great with hair, not nice.
3) I suspect that the owner would not have started with the roots.....

I had such a wonderful experience at Color Hut today. It was my first time. TJ was very efficient and skilled. I had the hair color, keratin straightening and haircut today. Great service and I’m very happy and I loved the result indeed. Would definitely recommend. I’ll be coming back again.

Victoria was warm, welcoming and skilled!
I have Curly/textured/ Afro hair and this wasn’t a problem for Victoria. My hair looked glossy & healthy after toner, cut and blow dry.

First time at the Colour hut and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. Victoria was friendly, professional and completely changed my hair for the better! I would highly recommend this salon to my friends and family, it has a great atmosphere. I was even spoiled with a cheeky glass of bubbly!
