I have been going to Shy Nails for many years - I have never had a bad experience with either a set of nails or a pedicure. I would recommend Lisa and her team to anyone wanting that unique experience whilst being looked after by people who know what they are doing.
I have had everything from basic manicure to my latest set of Cat’s Eyes with a unique touch of strips. Thank you for such good service always served with a smile.

So disrespectful talking in own language asked for SNS they all heard me had gels done when it was too late I realised they didn’t use powder although I should’ve realised the young boy carried on and got powder out and put it back. One lost customer.

The young man at this salon did a beautiful BIAB refill for me with French tip plus repair to broken nail all for just £35. Staff very friendly. I highly recommend!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I attended for the first time and firstly my pedicure was of poor standard. It's cash only (for some reason) and throughout my time customers were going back and forth to the cash point. When I was almost finished I asked if it was cash only and where the nearest cash point was. Shortly after I asked if it was cash only, the lady who owns the shop spoke loudly (in her native language) to the technician who was doing my nails. I was then asked for ID by the technician. I was shocked. I have never been so offended or humiliated in my life. I asked why I needed ID, when the cash point was literally one min away and everyone else had been going to the cashpoint. She then asked if I could leave something valuable like my phone or purse. As a customer, I was definitely stereotyped and profiled as no where in the shop could I see a policy displayed saying that customers had to leave their ID purse or phone if they were walking to a cash point. I have been to plenty of nail shops as a new customer and have NEVER been asked for ID or to leave my valuables to walk to a cash point. At the end of the day, if a shop wants to be "cash only" for purchases and services they need to have a clear policy (CASH ONLY please pay first) or learn not to judge and profile customers. I will NEVER visit this shop again even if my nails are falling off. The pedicure was sub standard anyway and after my experience I have learnt that some places just don't deserve my hard earned money,time or peace. I didn't leave any ID or purse or mobile to walk to the cashpoint. I went to the cashpoint and to their surprise, came back with the cash to pay for my substandard nails and extremely poor service never again!

Been here twice now

First time my nail snapped of after 3 days

Second time they were so rude and literally sat on FaceTime leading it to take 2 hours to do a set of acrylics

Very poor practice in the shop today. When walked in asking for one nail to be fixed ! The shop floor was empty and one staff man 👨 said no we can’t do as fully booked and he ain’t doing anything just sat on the front desk.! Can tell that they are very busy !!!! Will not bother with them !! Very unprofessional! And no mention of any chance of getting seen !!?

Went for a spa pedicure the other week and noticed there was only a couple of ladies doing nails mostly men which I found a tad odd? Anyways had my pedicure by a male technician and left feeling disappointed ☹️
I had to tell him countless times what needed doing and that was fine but not really a relaxing experience. Then the nail polish application was not up to the standard I had been used to so won’t be going back there. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Amazing nail shop been coming here last 14years and will not go anywhere else they take there time unlike other nail shops never rush you and always friendly. Never waiting long either always try there best to get you fitted in.
