I visited this salon for a specific, clearly communicated style and left with chemically and thermally damaged hair. The stylist I was booked with was Claudio.

I asked for a 90s supermodel blowout - volume, movement, soft curls. Before starting, as well as having to stop him throughout - I explicitly told him multiple times to treat my hair with care as I am growing it out, and that this was only meant to be a temporary style, not something “set” at the expense of the hair’s condition.

What followed was the opposite of that instruction. Claudio applied mousse and then proceeded to repeatedly overheat each section of hair with a dryer, going over the same strands excessively. Throughout, he insisted “this is what needs to be done for it to last,” despite being told clearly that I did not want style at the cost of damage.

A chemical vapour was visibly coming off the hair each time heat was applied - that should have been the clear signal to terminate. Instead, he continued and insisted that I should “trust him.”

The result: flat, overprocessed, straightened hair with a persistent burnt smell. After washing, the hair still smells strongly - a sulphur-like, “wet dog” odor. This is not superficial. It indicates that the heat damage has penetrated into the hair structure itself. Hair contains keratin, which includes sulphur bonds, and when these are degraded by excessive heat (especially in combination with product), they release these compounds. That is what I am now dealing with - not styling residue, but damage embedded into the hair.

To make matters worse, Claudio then attempted to go over the hair again with a straightening iron, that would have been the end of my hair as I know it. At that point I had to physically stop the process.

I did not mention anything at the end other than "this isnt really what I had asked for", as I was in shock.

This review is written to inform others about the standard of work carried out. Ignoring explicit client instruction, insisting on unnecessary and damaging methods, and lacking basic respect for hair integrity is unacceptable at any level - let alone at the price charged.

People need to be extremely cautious when booking here, and very clear about who they are seeing. Strongly suspect reviews are not genuine; on two occasions I came in (one to discuss treatment and one for the actual appointment), the salon was empty.

PS: Even basic hospitality is treated as an upsell - no complimentary beverage is offered; you’re expected to pay for one. It’s a small detail, but it reflects the broader approach: transactional, inattentive, and lacking in basic client care.

By far, the worst salon experience - Claudio will be the downfall of this business.

Had a fantastic blow-dry with Luigi! My visit to your salon was fantastic not just my hair but the experience...so relaxing greated with a cup of tea with some delicious italian biscuits. Then Luigi listened to exactly what style I wanted and I got it....I will say it also lasted days before I had to wash it again...thank you very much I can't wait to return!

Been coming to this salon ever since I moved to London 5 years ago - except 2 haircuts, all the remaining across most hairdressers (Gennaro, Denise, Gabriela) have been fantastic. Even more so, the energy and welcoming nature of the team is always a breath of fresh air!

My only tiny complaint would be - if you’re offering coffee but then charging the customer after, it’s a little odd to not mention that before hand.

Sorry for the late feedback, but had to get back to Germany first... Still have to get used to my rather short haircut, but I absolutely love it - and so does everybody who knows me (and at least some of them are always honest😉) So sorry that Claudio is so far away but hope to come again!
