Nothing luxury about my so called luxury hero manicure. I pre booked and paid for a friend and myself via Treatwell, and we found our prices were cheaper in the salon. I guess that’s normal, but at least we’ll have our slot į thought. There were so many walk ins that came in right after us and they were clearly rushing. Despite having booked two treatments for the same time, we were seen one street the other and my friend had to wait 40 minutes for me. My friend had a regular manicure which included cuticle treatment and a massage. Mine didn’t include either and I ended up with uneven nails, a few at a slant as she built the nails from the cuticles that weren’t pushed back, middle finger nails that were too short and looked like they were about to lift off, AND a cut ti my skin that bled. I got a sorry but nothing else, I just found a plaster myself. Clearly it was about bums on seats and not service. I guess if I hadn’t prepaid I could have argued for a discount. Easily the worst manicure I’ve had, it gets an extra star for my friends manicure but mine was terrible. The photo of the cut is from after I took the plaster off the following day.

I absolutely love VR star nails I’ve been going there every 2 weeks for a year now and it never disappoints. I can show whatever inspiration photo and they’ll always be able to do it as well as help me choose the colours like the pic or ones that work together. All the staff does high quality work and a special shout out to Tom. He nearly always does my nails and he does an amazing job every time.
