Went here for full set last month that was fine went back today for an infill. I called to book my appointment and asked for the price of infill with French tip and I as told £29 they started removing my polish and filing my nails and they started telling me that my nails were bad and I needed another full set I asked why as it was maximum 4 weeks since my last full set and they said they were done badly and I explained that I had got them done here and they said that’s fine. I continued to get my nails done I asked for a thin black tip and even had a photo for reference no design no detail just a simple thin tip and the technician struggled, I asked her to correct politely she still couldn’t get it right so I politely said it’s fine and not to worry she went on to say it’s my fingers and started mumbling in her language she continued the service with a frown on her face. The final product was not what I wanted and the acrylic on my nails were bumpy but I still had not complained it was time to pay and they said it was £35 I asked why and tried to explain that I was told it £29 they refused and kept saying no no no no I didn’t argue any further I just paid what they asked…. These people are scam artists and cannot do nails avoid at all costs

The nail extensions were previously done at another place, which I was satisfied with.

However, I needed to go to a place near my work to do an infill and came across her page, and this was was the result: No disrespect to her as a woman, she is really nice and accommodating, however her nail technique isn’t very good. Got this done a week ago and the colour is already chipping on both hands. I will show you what I wanted and what I got to compare. Also her nail art isn’t very good either. I wanted the golden initial of ‘v’ and a heart. She used the excuse of saying that she couldn’t see the gold colour, despite her having a light on my nail..and that’s why her nail art wasn’t working, but it was just poor technique. Also her cuticle care wasn’t good at all. My cuticles were cut badly and were red when I left. She put cuticle oil on to mask the bad finish. And insisted I take photos for her site, which I did. The price wasn’t appropriate for the finished product. I left not feeling satisfied. I don’t recommend this place.

I absolutely love New York Nails. Been using them now for over ten years, wouldn't go any where eles. Kelly is so helpful to advise on colours, shape etc. ( usually to match my outfit I'm going out in). Kelly knows i alao love glitter. The salaon is spotless, all equipment is clean. I would always recommend New York Nails.
