I had been going here for 5 + years and Leann or Lin would do my nails never had an issue, my mum and sister also went here but went to anyone who was available, my mum had an appointment booked with Leann in December 2024 around Christmas. Leann was busy so a guy took over, my mum got her nails and toes done and said they was talking laughing about her toes and she felt uncomfortable and the nails she asked for wasn’t like the picture she had shown remotely.

I messaged Lin on instagram on 22nd December, nicely as I say I have been going for a while and thought Lin would have understood, however they clearly can’t take any form of criticism. I will put the messages up.

Fast forward to today I haven’t only been back once in February this year as Lin was ignoring every instagram message I sent her so today I thought we will just go in and give it another shot, me and my mum went in and was two soak offs and new biab which I told them when we went in and we took a seat as the desks was full but no one other than us was waiting, Lin then come out the back asked what we was having so I repeated myself and she said we are fully booked not taking walk-ins which is a lie.
I said oh really and she said yeah so we walked out.

I was a loyal customer for god knows how many years tipped every single time i went and to be treated the way we have been for feeding back what I thought was some criticism is awful.

In reference to the messages I always book an appointment in December and I attended the 16th December 2024 and asked requested my appointment was with Lin and stated that way so that was a lie about anyone who is free will do them because I would only go to Lin or Leann as I weren’t keen on anyone else doing them in there. I wouldn’t now give them another penny and if you are customer I would advise not to message them any criticism because you won’t be allowed back 🤣

Lin wasn’t in the shop during this time as she was in the other shop and when the lads was there on there own or just with Leann there they acted like children constantly laughing joking etc and you know if someone is talking about you when they are looking at you. When you pay the £10 deposit they don’t advise you won’t get that person and never did to my mum or sister either.

I was in today to get a new set of acrylics, and the person who was doing my nails has filed under a lifted acrylic nail and damaged my nail bed. My actual nail has continued bleeding since the appointment. I will be unable to get acrylics back on until my nail has fully healed.

The person I was with didn’t seem sorry or anything, he only asked if my finger was okay. I was clearly not okay, I was stopping myself from crying.

I understand mistakes can happen, but this isn’t the first time I have had an issue with me getting hurt whilst having my nails done.
I have been coming to top nails since it opened and since a lot of the staff have been replaced the service has gone down. They were really good at the start but you can see their priorities have shifted. Recently it’s more about quantity than quality, customers are wanted in and out as soon as possible and with that injuries are happening.

I have messaged on instagram, to simply express my concerns and frustration. All I wanted was a simple apology and what I got was the opposite. Basically said sorry that happened, maybe you should go to another salon.

The way the customers are treated is not okay and very clear that the staff are not bothered by their customers feelings or anything.

I been having my nail done here for years now. Beautifully done. Staff are so lovely & friendly and the new salon is spectacular. Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Love to you all xx
