Have spent many years coming here for all sorts of treatments for myself, husband and daughter, they have ranged from waxing, facials, nails and massages. The treatments are beautiful which is why we kept coming back.

That now has been ruined from our experience this visit.

I booked a facial and massage for my husband and I in the oaks room which is a gorgeous room.
Paid a deposit for the treatments which I booked for my birthday present. I booked this in the 20th Feb. I had a manicure appointment in the21st which I double checked the booking for Saturday 28th and confirmed it was all booked and the deposit was on there. I then booked an extra mani for husband and I the Saturday before we went away.

We arrived for our appointment to be met with being told that only one of us was booked in, which was confusing as it was double checked the week before.

Long story short we never had our appointment, the receptionist couldn’t refund the deposit we paid and said there was nothing she could do and said no one can and had to wait for the manager grace to call.
Asked could I buy a product instead of a refund, the receptionist said no, so used my points on my loyalty account and brought a product so they weren’t wasted.

When she did call she apologised for the miscommunication on the appointment, which I responded with it wasn’t a Miscommunication at all and her staff had check the booking the week before. She refunded our deposit, or so we thought.

A few hours later my husband checked to see what was happening on his card.
No refund but they had taken the deposit AGAIN!

Called back to explain and husband was told that it couldn’t have been grace and it must of been someone else.
So now had to run the refund for double the amount.

So disappointed and upset with the salon, what was a lovely birthday treat from hubby was a lovely day ruined.

I feel it’s appropriate to come back here and amend my review.

At the time this review was written on Saturday.

It is now, Wednesday and I had a lovely phone call earlier today with the manager Sarah.
I think it’s important to let people know how businesses respond as I feel that’s a marker of good customer services.
Sarah offered her deepest apologies and couldn’t understand what had happened and agreed that the £40 deposit taken is what it is for two people.
Rather than just leaving it with an apology she offered for us both to come back and have our pre-booked appointment that we had missed out on for free!!!

To say that I was gobsmacked and teary by this gesture was an understatement. She acknowledged our history with Oakwood beauty and valued our custom, she then asked me what date would be best for us and returned a full phone call 30 minutes later with the options. As I said in my previous review the service is here are outstanding which is why we come back and I explained to Sarah I was very upset about what had taken place on the Saturday but also trying to find another place that offers high and derma logical facials and amazing massage’s not to mention all the other products that are offered.

It really has show that our custom does mean a lot. Im overwhelmed with the way this is handled, and I am not going to withdraw my custom and I’m going to praise them everywhere I go.

I have been going to Oakwood Beauty now for many years, the staff are always welcoming and extremely professional. I have Grace a majority of the time, who does the most amazing treatments and always makes me feel relaxed. I also have Rosie for my hydrafacials which are incredible.

I have been to a lot of beauty places over the years and you cannot beat Oakwood Beauty.

I went recently for a deep tissue massage as I have many knots in my shoulders , Klaudia was amazing. She really helped to get to all my tension areas and fully relax. Thank you so much will definitely book another one and would highly recommend.

The staff are always so polite and positive! it’s a great experience every time i visit, I usually see Grace, she is fantastic and my nails and my lashes always come out looking exactly how i ask! Charlotte at the desk is so lovely and makes the experience just that bit better, always greeted with a smile and a quick chat, couldn’t ask for better service! highly highly recommend!

Ive been to Oakwood a number of times, this time I had a full body massage with Sarah. She was great! The room was warm (it's December) the lighting perfect and the soothing music were all set to the level of deep relaxation. The whole experience was total bliss!
I'd highly recommend Sarah, she was extremely professional, and clearly knows her craft. Thank you, I will be back again. 😊

Emily was so lovely and friendly. I loved coming to Oakwood Beauty and found it really relaxing. My eyelash tint was the best one I've had and with my manicure and pedicure feel ready for holiday. I'd definitely recommend Oakwood Beauty.
