I’ve been to this nail shop for years and always had quite a good experience, until before Xmas. The older guy was ill and was dripping and wiping his nose whilst touching my hands immediately afterwards. It was the most unhygienic thing I’ve ever experienced. The shellac job on my nails was awful and when I had this removed 3 weeks later, the varnish was drilled off by the same man. Nearly 4 months later and my nails have never looked so bad! They were so painful as he’d drilled away most of my nails. I’m still waiting for my nails to grow out, months later. It’s so unfortunate as myself and mum have been coming here for years but I will never return again. He lets the place down.

I went to T J nails today and quite literally got humbled quickly I was left with a half done service and assaulted me and my friend they was begging me to pay for unpainted acrylic nails and then proceeded to call the police once I said my perents won’t pay for my nails until I can see the finished results I really think it’s a good idea you all stay away from this nail shop for good

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, first off started okay all good then one women refused to do a design my friend asked for.. then she went to halfway through saying you pay now then I will finish your nails. So my 2 female friends and I walked out to go and get cash out and the old man followed us out. My friends parent were paying for the nails and said not to pay until the job was done. She then proceeded to shout at my friend and the man got all up in her face shouted, I had warned him multiple times to step away and he wasn’t so in the end I had to forcefully push him away from her. As we tired to walk away the women then grabbed me by the skin of my arm.. the man baring in mind I didn’t even get my nails done and said she was going to call the police so I told her to. The man then proceeded to assault my friend and while I was trying to get him off of her the women was pulling the hair of my other friend which is when it got really out of hand . We then tried to walk away again and they proceeded to chase into the town near the water fountain until the police arrived. The lovely officer was talking to us while the other officer was talking to them . We had explained the situation and that’s when the old man came over to us again and the police women had to tell him to go away multiple times. He got visibly annoyed when the officer was explaing to us that my friends didn’t have to go back and get the nails cut off and that the old man and the women had committed assault on my friend. She was in tears. I would never wish this on anyone it was a horrible experience and this shop should be shut down !!!

I came here to get my acrylic nails taken off, I had to tell them to stop filing as my nails were becoming really sensitive. They are now very think and brittle and you can see my skin underneath. Very disappointed.

Never go to this place!!! First of all the old man cut me and didn’t apologise or anything like that, then the girl came and took over and put nail glue over my cut! Anyways ignored that the pain was unbearable they file your actual finger, they are just so rough. Anyways the designs are terrible it looks like a child drew on my fingers. The girl was also practically forcing me to do a good review at the end, made me go on my google then took my phone doing the review for me? What is this place and why isn’t it shut down yet? I didn’t read the reviews until after but after reading it why aren’t they reported? How are they open

I attended this salon as a one-off due to my usual nail technician being fully booked. The service I received was wholly unacceptable.
Despite arriving at 6:10pm, I was not attended to until 6:50pm. During this wait, I was instructed to soak my gel nails in an extremely strong acetone solution which caused burning and significant discomfort. When I stopped due to the pain, I was told to continue regardless.
The service was then carried out by an older male staff member whose lack of competence was immediately apparent. When asked to reduce the length “slightly,” he proceeded to cut my long natural nails down excessively and unevenly using clippers, completely disregarding my request. He then filed the nails aggressively down to the cuticle, causing visible damage and bleeding.
The gel application was rushed, messy, and unhygienic. Excess product was “cleaned” using his bare fingernails rather than appropriate tools, raising serious concerns about hygiene standards. Midway through the second coat of colour, at approximately 7:10pm, I terminated the service due to the condition of my nails and the overall treatment.
Despite the incomplete and substandard service, I was still asked to pay £30. I refused and paid £20 solely to leave the premises. Another staff member offered to “fix” the work, however the damage had already been done.
This experience raises serious concerns regarding staff training, hygiene practices, and consumer safety. I would strongly discourage anyone from attending this salon and would suggest that the relevant authorities review its practices.
