I used to be a loyal customer at this salon, but after my recent visit, I will never return.

After having my baby, I hadn’t been in for some time and decided to go back with my aunt for a manicure and pedicure. From the moment I walked in—with my baby in a buggy—the owners were visibly annoyed and unwelcoming. I was about 15 minutes late and had my children with me, but that’s no excuse for the rudeness we experienced.

My aunt and I wanted to have our pedicures done side by side, but we were told it wasn’t possible. We accepted that, even though it was disappointing, and tried to proceed calmly. While we were discussing which nail colours to choose, one of the owners said sharply, “Can you decide a colour and hurry up? We don’t have time.” The tone was extremely rude and dismissive.

Trying to make things easier, we offered to cancel the pedicures and just let my aunt get a manicure, suggesting we could come back the next day. Their response was simply that they wouldn’t have time tomorrow either. There was no courtesy, no effort to accommodate, and absolutely no professionalism.

At that point, we decided to leave politely, saying that since they were so busy, we’d come another time. They didn’t seem to care at all and just said “okay.”

I used to really like this place, but the attitude and behaviour of the owners were completely unacceptable. I understand we were a little late, but there’s a huge difference between being firm about timing and being outright rude to paying customers. They’ve clearly forgotten that good customer service and respect are what keep people coming back. I’ll never return, and I’ll make sure to let my friends and family know about this terrible experience.

Such a lovely salon and brilliant service. I have been a couple of times with my daughter and we have both been very satisfied when we left. My nails looked lovely. Also Ann and her husband were so lovely.

This is by far the best nail salon I’ve ever been to. I’ve been getting my nails done for over 20 years and have never experienced such consistently amazing service. Andy and Ann anre incredibly skilled, professional, warm, friendly and welcoming. Every visit feels like a treat – from the attention to detail to how they genuinely care about making sure you’re happy with the result. I wouldn’t go anywhere else now!

I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience at Nails by Ann. Despite explaining that the nail shape wasn’t what I had asked for, the technician refused to make any changes. As you can see in the photo below, my nails are uneven and shaped poorly. I also had a pedicure done, which was equally unsatisfactory.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t help but notice a clear difference in attitude depending on a client’s background. The staff became visibly irritated, and the service felt rushed and dismissive. It was a very uncomfortable experience.

I strongly recommend that the salon staff receive proper customer service training. I truly regret not checking the reviews before booking

I've been to Nails by Ann and the only disappointing thing is not always being able to get an appointment because they are busy. They always do a good job and I highly recommend.
