She asked if I wanted to keep the length of the nails I’d been growing out for months just to completely shave them down after putting the acrylic on saying she was going to ‘make them the same length’. They were already the same length and were not even shaved down properly. I now have to start my nail journey all over again and I won’t be going back.
I’ve been going to this nail salon for over a year and it has always been my favourite. Even after moving out of the area, I’ve still travelled back because I’ve always been so happy with the service. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing as I had a different nail technician. The whole appointment felt rushed and the result was far from the usual standard. The gel polish over my acrylics is messy and uneven, and I only had one thin coat of white applied. The gold gems I had also changed colour within two days, turning patchy and silver in parts, giving a really unattractive rusty look. I was also surprised by the pricing. I was charged £55 for an infill, which I’ve never been charged before, even for more detailed sets including full removal and new sets with designs. I was told this was due to the length of my nails, but I’ve never had that charge applied previously. My daughter was also charged £53 for a full set, and two of her nails came off almost immediately. Overall, I feel the service has really declined compared to what I’ve always experienced here. The work felt rushed, the results were not up to standard, and the pricing no longer feels justified. As much as I’ve loved this salon in the past, I’ll now be looking for a new place to go.
After my nails got done not even a second after I walk out the shop a charm fell off! The girl did not glue it on she used acrylic thinking it would stick and you may be thinking she’s the professional but the man that then fixed it used the glue!!!! Anyway moving on got home and my nails did not feel right I looked at them CHIPPED they were really thin and I didn’t even like the nails at that point, then my nails started snapping. I’m not happy and will not be returning
wow, what a lovely welcoming place. Absolutely over the moon with my nails, thank you Kevin for taking such care and precision with them. See you again 😄
Honestly one of the best nail experiences I’ve had. The attention to detail was incredible and the atmosphere was so relaxing. You can tell they really care about their customers. Love my nails so much!
Amazing service and great value for money! The staff were very attentive and made sure I was happy with everything. My nails look stunning and I’ve received so many compliments. I will definitely be back!
I’m so happy with my nails! The technician was very skilled, patient, and paid attention to every detail. The shape is perfect and the design looks exactly like the picture I showed. Definitely coming back again!
I’ve visited Bangor Nails multiple times and I have never been disappointed until today.
I don't know if the man that was doing my nails was training or not as he seemed to need guidance from a colleage at times, but he was quite rough when doing my nails and even cut into my skin until it was bleeding when filling my acrylics. Although he apologised , he joked that my skin was just "too thin" and I expected him to take charge in the situation but I had to ask for it to be rinsed with water and to receive a plaster as I did not want the little white bits from the acrylic going into my skin.
One of the nail designs was a star and it looked like a leaf and so I politely asked if he could do it again , I'm not one to complain but paying £40 to already be unsatisfied with the service I wanted it to properly. Although he did re do the nail it still looked like a leaf and so I just said it was okay as I hate conflict and if he was training I didn't want to put him down. In the end I had to go to Queens Nails in Bangor to get the nail paint done properly and it looked fab. The lady even said that they had done a poor job on the acrylics.
It was also my birthday and my sister asked if they did a birthday discount which they did not do and that is fine, but considering I was hurt during the service I do feel that I should have received a discount considering I had to pay even more to have them sorted. I was given a £5 off voucher for next time but I won't be back after this rude service. It all felt rushed and I felt as an inconvenience even asking for a plaster.
I was £1 short in cash and to think I had been hurt you would hope they would be understanding but I had to transfer the £1 via bank transfer. My sister is pleased with her toe nails but to think I only get my nails done ever so often and to pay £40 for a service you are not pleased with it is dissapointing.
They also needed to ring someone to ask for a price which gives me the impression there isn't good management there which is also a shame.
“Great nail salon! Friendly staff, beautiful nails, and excellent service. Highly recommend!”
Everything here is amazing❤️
Efficient and talented. Beautiful nails thank you.
I do like my nails. Thought the design were exactly what I wanted. However, they are very pushy for you to give a review at the end and when my friend put 4 star they forced her to change it.
Changed to a lower rating begat they make didn't even last a week before chipping
